On the Hunt: The can't-believe-it's-actually-real manhunt for the second Boston Marathon bombing subject drew nearly 42 million people to their TV screens on Friday night. The Nielsen company said that staggering number of people tuned in to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News Channel during the dramatic hour that saw police finally capture Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who had been hiding in a boat in a family's Watertown, Mass. backyard. A Happy Ending: ABC pre-empted its two April 19 episodes of Happy Endings to cover the manhunt for the surviving Boston Marathon bomber, and the network has officially rescheduled them for Friday, April 16. That means the show's season finale will air on Friday, May 3 instead. [TVLine]

Disgruntled Housewife: Nicollette Sheridan's first trial against her former Desperate Housewives boss Marc Cherry ended in a mistrial, but the former housewife has just gotten a new trial date. She'll face off against Cherry in court again starting Dec. 2. [Deadline]

Psych Out: While Season 7 of Psych just premiered in February, USA has already ordered an eighth season of its hit comedy — and is considering adding even more episodes. The network ordered five more scripts in addition to the show's eight-episode Season 8 order, meaning the possible final season of the show could contain a full 13 installments. One problem — Maggie Lawson has already signed on for an ABC pilot, and if her new show goes to series, she'd only be able to star in five of Psych's (possibly) final eight — or 13 — episodes.
