After the prolonged hoopla that surrounded Britney Spears' ascension to the judging panel of Fox's The X Factor for its second season, it seems producers are keeping a lower profile the third time around. Fox finally announced that former Destiny's Child member Kelly Rowland and Latina superstar Paulina Rubio (pictured) are officially joining the show.
Rowland and Rubio are joining returning judges Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell for the third season of the fall singing competition, replacing Spears and two-season veteran, famous producer LA Reid. Rowland already has experience on the show, having served as a judge on the original UK edition of the series, while Rubio was a mentor on the Mexican version of The Voice.
"It’s taken more than a decade, but I’m delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls (I think!)," Cowell says in a statement. "Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different."
