Lisa Kudrow, network TV welcomes you back! The Friends alum is joining the cast of Scandal for Season 3 in a recurring role as a politician. ABC's being very tight-lipped about details, not even revealing her character's name or the date of her debut on the show, but there's one thing we do know: Kudrow's going to spice up what's already set to be a tense third season as President Grant (Tony Goldwyn) stands for reelection and Kerry Washington's fixer Olivia Pope tries to cover up his pecadillos — such as her affair with him. Will Kudrow be a political ally or foe of the POTUS? We'll have to wait and see.
Scandal will mark Kudrow's reunion with her producing partner Dan Bucatinsky, with whom she's worked on Showtime's Web Therapy and TLC's Who Do You Think You Are?
In other Scandal news, Scott Foley has just been promoted to a series regular.
