Will and Grace alums Max Mutchnick and David Kohan are executive producing with Halpern writing the script with Patrick Schumacker, Variety reports.
Halpern is a 29-year-old senior editor for Maxim.com. He regularly tweets the musings of his 73-year-old father, many of which have to do with various bodily functions and taking potty-mouthed potshots at his son.
Mutchnick and Kohan will exec produce.
The feed has over 700,000 followers. The latest posting reads: "You look just like Stephen Hawking...Relax, I meant like a non-paralyzed version of him. Feel better?... Fine. Forget I said it."
In September, Halpern landed a book deal for the feed with HarperCollins' It Books.
