The Sarah Silverman Program

Comedy Central has canceled The Sarah Silverman Program after three seasons.

Silverman was last year nominated for a Lead Actress Emmy, and there was recently a strong Twitter campaign to save the series -- but it wasn’t enough.

The cancellation comes after a good deal of internal squabbling between the network and the series’ main players over budgetary issues, and when Comedy Central dropped the show to midnight (from 10:30) halfway through season 3, the writing was on the wall.
