Tom Cruise Talks 'MTV Movie Awards' Dance with Leno: Late Last Night

Tom Cruise of the 'is it a hit? Or is it a nothing? I'm so confused!!??' Knight and Day walked out onto Jay Leno's set, and stood for such a long time I thought he was going to jump on a couch again! Why else would someone stand for so long when there's a chair behind them? Anyway, he told Leno about what it was like to do his Les Grossman bit at the MTV Movie Awards. And Tom actually got a little defensive about the J-Lo butt-slapping incident! So the "glib" Tom Cruse still reigns supreme!

What's the longest time you've done anything? I guarantee you it's something like 'sleep for a week' or jump on a pogo stick for a monstrous nine seconds. Well unfortunately for you, American tennis player John Isner smashed your record with his own when he participated in the longest tennis match ever recorded against Frenchman Nicolas Mahut. Jon Stewart opened up his program giving us some concrete numbers from the match, and replayed for us the final point, which the two players had been waiting for since they started. Hey, you know what also never ends? OIL SPILLS!

Adam Sandler and Chris Rock, stars of Grown Ups, stopped by and told J-Stew about what it was like to work with David Spade, who they described as "the worst." That was interesting and everything, but I feel like I've never seen that many The Daily Show cups on that table before.

Kevin James told David Letterman about his two daughters, and admitted he "condenses" long books into short stories on nights he's reading to them when he's especially tired. I've known I'd do this with my future kids for some time now, and the day they start complaining about it is the day I'll tell them to learn to read.

And David Spade essentially dissed Jimmy Fallon's marriage by comparing it to the show Wipe Out. It's actually quite a perfect analogy.
