After fielding other offers, Minnie Driver has finally settled on a pilot. She'll be starring in CBS' Hail Mary as a single mom in the 'burbs who partners up with a bad guy -- or a "street-smart hustler" -- to solve crimes. Hmm. I don't know why she shirked that offer to play a tough, fast talking Hollywood agent for this Nancy Botwin (from Weeds) rip off, but I'm sure she's got her reasons. She does have interesting taste in projects, after all. Remember when she starred on The Riches with Eddie Izzard? It was a short trip, but it was well worth the viewing. Maybe there are just few things we don't know about this show that will blow our minds, or maybe she's playing it safe after The Riches didn't last. Don't disappoint us, Minnie!
