And here's the less positive news: after a very promising story about the network's and creators' dedication to the integrity of Game of Thrones, we find out that Asha, steadfast warrior from the book series who has yet to appear onscreen, will be renamed. The decision comes from the producers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss desire to avoid confusion between Asha and the already-seen Osha, prisoner of the Starks.
I suppose to get entirely upset over this would be nitpicking. They is no indication that they will be changing the character whatsoever with exception of the name. The network promised the show a full and meritorious run. The only thing that is really bothersome about this is whether or not it might indicate future changes of more substantial nature. But as TV lovers, we have to pick our battles. If one name change is what we have to suffer in order to maintain an otherwise wonderful series, then so be it.
