Even though the fourth season of Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York City received higher ratings than the other three, the network is reportedly looking to remove Jill Zarin from the cast. A source told The New York Post that Zarin's "hard campaigning to prove her popularity among viewers has soured her chances of being asked back by producers." Another insider added, "Jill would re-sign tomorrow if she could. She has been pitching herself very aggressively to keep her on next season, because she's terrified she'll be phased out. She would love to have her own show like [former Housewives star] Bethenny Frankel, but she's not getting it."
However, Jill isn't in terrible danger just yet -- apparently, Bravo hasn't asked any of the castmembers to return for a fifth season, and this might be because producers are still searching for two or three people to add to the group. Zarin's representative claimed the potential outcast is "focused on her shapewear brand Skweez Couture" and is "incredibly busy with other projects." And so I guess even if Jill doesn't return to the show, it's nice to know she's found another way to provide a much-needed service.
