There's been a ton of speculation as to how Bravo was going to address the suicide of Russell Armstrong, the soon-to-be ex-husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Taylor Armstrong. At first people believed the network was planning on scrapping entire second season of the show. Then there were whispers that producers were just going push back the show's September 5th premiere date, or just completely cut Taylor and Russell's storyline out of the season.
But yesterday, the Los Angeles Times reported that Bravo filmed a special episode that will feature the housewives (including Lisa Vanderpump, Camille Grammer, Kyle and Kim Richards, and Adrienne Maloof) all discussing their feelings about Russell's decision to end his life. Noticeably absent from the episode will be Taylor, Russell's estranged wife (and mother of his five year old daughter) who filed for divorce in July, just one month before Russell's death. Sources told the LAT that the women were not told what to expect before filming took place because the gathering was just supposed to be "a way to get their reactions to what happened." It remains to be seen whether the special will air before or after second season premieres.
