“Dr. Dolittle 2” Premiere

WESTWOOD, Calif., June 19, 2001 — Even without star Eddie Murphy, the cast of Dr. Dolittle 2 did its best to trumpet the film’s premiere Tuesday night at the Avco Cinema in Westwood, Calif.

Murphy, who was at home mourning the death of his stepfather, reprises his role as the title character with a knack for communicating with animals. Some of the celebrities providing voices for the animals this time around include Lisa Kudrow, Steve Zahn, Michael Rapaport, Kevin Pollak and Frankie Muniz.

The sequel’s stars, including Kristen Wilson, Raven-Symone and Kyla Pratt, were in attendance at the event, as well as director Steve Carr and Jacob Vargas, who voices the Mexican iguana.
