[IMG:L]On the rooftop of a Manhattan high-rise, the cast and director of Jumper gathered recently to promote the DVD/Blu-Ray release of their high-flying film.
Based on the book series by Steven Gould, the film follows David Rice, played by Star Wars alum Hayden Christensen, a completely normal guy aside from one major trait--his ability to teleport anywhere in the world by just thinking of it.
This leads him not to a life of heroism, but to a self-centered life of materialism. Carefree, David uses his skill to rob banks and woo ladies until it’s discovered that he--and all Jumpers like him--are being hunted.
[IMG:R]Jumper, which leapt to the big screen on Valentine’s Day 2008 was, to put it kindly, not presented with flowers from critics.
Those behind the film, as well, spoke of things they would have liked to execute better ... Reaching No. 1 at the box office in its first week and dazzling many with unique special effects, however, may be all Fox needs to set a sequel in motion.
Taking to the skies of NYC, we caught up with director Doug Liman, and stars Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson, and Jamie Bell, to discuss their approaches to the story and adventures making the film.

"It was such an experimental thing, especially on Doug [Liman]'s part. The character I created here was something so crazy, and one that, I think, you don't see often in these types of films--a neurotic, English, eccentric hero. That's bizarre. Like, what is that?!" (Read story)
[IMG:L]Q&A: with 'Jumper' Couple: Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson
Two card-carrying members of "young Hollywood," Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson find themselves at a similar career crossroads. Free of their respective mega-successful franchises--him, Star Wars, and her, The O.C.--the two stars have already fastened their shoes and started down the path of what they may one day refer to as 'Chapter Two'.
