In true Tarantino style, the Nazis won’t take a mere tongue-lashing in Basterds; they’ll be gruesomely slaughtered at the hands of Jewish soldiers -- heads will roll, quite literally. The trailer seems almost Hostel-ian in its brutality, so decades of pent-up anger will be further released (since, let's face it, The Reader wasn’t exactly cathartic).
Nazis, Inglorious Basterds
Christian Bale may have become the off-screen villain following his profanity-laced tirade aimed at Director of Photography Shane Hurlbut, but Carter will play the latest baddie character in the Terminator franchise. While Skynet remains the blanket, faceless enemy of John Connor (Bale) and, well, every other mortal, it’s Kogen who single-handedly poses the biggest threat to Connor and co. It’s also anyone’s guess as to what or who exactly Kogen is ...
Funny People, but the same can’t be said for his role in the sci-fi event of the season: Based on the photos, Nero looks like one nasty time-traveling Romulan. May the force be with Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto) and the entire United Federation of Planets!
Christian Bale as Melvin Purvis) could be depicted as the villains and Dillinger -- who was perceived by some as a Robin Hood-like robber of those who deserved it -- as something of a hero. But there’s no denying that Dillinger and his co-“public enemies” were very much criminals, so ...
Hugh Jackman) half-brother, but they’ve never exactly been a close-knit group -- and we saw evidence of that in the first X-Men, when Sabretooth was blasted through the Statue of Liberty (ouch!) following a fight with Wolverine. Origins will finally give us the back story on why the two just can’t seem to hug it out.
For those of us who grew up playing with the G.I. Joe action figures, we know all too well the villainy of the Cobra Organization -- and for those unfamiliar with the Hasbro-toyline storyline, it’s pretty simple: You’re on the G.I. Joe side; Cobra is not. Joseph Gordon-Levitt (as Cobra Commander) and Christopher Eccleston (pictured; as Destro) are Cobra’s leaders, and thus most deserving of Duke’s (Channing Tatum) wrath -- and our hatred!
Cobra Organization, G.I. Joe
Potter. Sad, really. In Half-Blood Prince, we’re privy once again to Voldemort’s childhood and teenage years, back when he was known as Tom Riddle. (It makes sense then that Fiennes-Tiffin, who’ll play Riddle as an 11-year-old, is the real-life nephew of Ralph Fiennes, who so creepily portrayed Voldy in Order of the Phoenix and Goblet of Fire.) Of course, Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter) and the Malfoys (Tom Felton, Helen McCrory) aren’t exactly Potter allies themselves.
Ocean's 11/12/13 villainous than, say, Freddie Kreugerish, but bad guys are bad guys. The Blooms are masterful con men who have made a killing by cheating people out of their money, and they’re set to retire after one gigantic, globe-spanning scam. Kinda like Bernie Madoff, only with a plan to stop.
They’re baaack! After that nosy Witwicky kid (Shia LaBeouf) starts digging around for the truth about the Transformers’ past, Starscream and the rest of the remaining Decepticons come out of the woodworks, er, sky and throw a hissy fit felt by all of humankind. Good thing the Autobots are on our side!
The Decepticons, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
It’s one of those words that exists in today’s pop culture lexicon, even though many still haven’t the slightest clue as to what a Sleestak is -- but soon everyone will know of the green human-reptile-insect hybrids that make paleontologist Rick Marshall’s (Will Ferrell) trek to the Lost City a rather uncomfortable one. Of course, the dinosaurs aren’t too hospitable, either.
The Sleestaks, Land of the Lost
Adam Sandler-movie character, but trust us, she’s got an evil streak that’s straight out of a Stephen King novel -- and a look that’s even scarier. Mrs. Ganush, who casts a curse on Alison Lohman’s character that, well, sends her straight to hell, brings a whole new meaning to “mean old lady.”
