Little House on the Prairie movie adaptation in the works

A film adaptation of classic TV series Little House on the Prairie is in development.
The iconic Western drama was initially in the works at Sony Pictures in 2012, but came to a halt last year (15) after Amy Pascal stepped down as co-chair of the company.
But now bosses at Paramount Pictures have picked up the project, with Martha Marcy May Marlene filmmaker Sean Durkin attached to direct.
The Little House on the Prairie TV series, loosely based on author Laura Ingalls Wilder’s classic children’s book series of the same name, debuted in 1974 and ran for nine seasons.
Late actor Michael Landon starred as the patriarch of the pioneer family that lived in the American Midwest during the 1880s. It also starred a young Melissa Gilbert.
