Tornado halts Beach Boys gig in Oklahoma

Beach Boys fans, including Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, had to be evacuated from a concert on Saturday night (21Oct17) when a tornado ripped the roof off the venue.
The group was performing at the Riverwind Casino in Cleveland County when the twister shut the show down.
Fallin told local TV news outlet News 9 she had to be evacuated from the venue twice, recalling, “I looked up toward the balcony, and there’s this huge flood of rain coming through the roof into the concert hall.”
The tornado was one of four storms that hit central Oklahoma on Saturday, bringing down power lines and trees.
Casino bosses claim the twister hit the area so quickly they had no time to warn concert guests before it rattled the venue.
The gig was immediately cancelled and all guests evacuated. The venue is still without electricity and all reservations have been cancelled until Tuesday (24Oct17).
Meanwhile, the Beach Boys’ tour will resume in Normal, Illinois on Tuesday.
