Slade frontman Noddy Holder is on course to make over $1.2 million (£800,000) from the festive hit he wrote 40 years ago this Christmas. Merry Xmas Everybody has already grossed the rocker $768,000 (£512,000) in the U.K. so far this holiday season in royalties, and there's much more to come according to Prezzybox.com, who have stacked up the Christmas hit statistics culled from radio and television plays, jukebox renditions in pubs and clubs and album sales.
Second on the Christmas earnings list in the U.K. is The Pogues' Fairytale Of New York, while Mariah Carey's All I Want For Christmas Is You, which topped the first official Billboard Holiday Chart last week (ends06Dec13) is third.
