Rocker Noel Gallagher's teenage daughter has appealed to the owner of a dog kennel named after Oasis' hit album (What's The Story) Morning Glory? to cease breeding the animals.
Dog breeder Ville Kormilainen recently revealed he and his partner at Glory Morning kennels in Helsinki, Finland had been granted permission to use the Oasis-themed name and planned to call a litter of Labrador retrievers they are expecting next year (15) after their favourite Oasis songs, such as Live Forever and Champagne Supernova. However, animal rights activist Anais Gallagher has now reached out to Kormilainen in an open letter, asking him to reconsider his breeding business in favour of promoting the adoption of abandoned pets, reports NME.com.
The 14 year old, Noel's daughter with ex-wife Meg Mathews, cites health fears for the selectively bred dogs, revealing she has experienced her own issues with her Boston terrier. In the message, sent on behalf of the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), for which Anais is a spokesperson, she writes, "I love dogs and would do anything for my Boston terrier, Oscar. But after seeing the health problems that Oscar has grown up with ever since he was a puppy, just because he came from a breeder, I am now completely against dog breeding... "On behalf of Oscar and all the other wonderful dogs who don't have anyone to speak up for them, please don't produce any more litters. You can be a rock'n'roll star for dogs by spaying and neutering your Labrador retrievers and promoting adoption instead."
Jake Gyllenhaal and Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Alyssa Miller appear to have rekindled their romance after reportedly splitting earlier this year (14). The couple was spotted walking Miller's Boston Terrier Charlie around New York's Tribeca neighbourhood on Wednesday (07May14). The pair started dating last summer (13).
When you've gotta go, you've gotta go. Oliver Stone couldn't be bothered to find the nearest restroom on Monday when nature called, so he ducked behind a tree to do his business. It just so happens, that tree was in his neighbors' yard.
Sources close to the perpetrator tell Hollywood.com that this is a habit of Stone's. Rather than using the facilities in the comfort of his own home, Stone tends to use the great outdoors as his personal restroom — sometimes as many as three or four times a day.
Stone failed to respond to our request for comment. But, as a source sent us the whole incident on video, we have already caught him with his pants down.
Oliver Stone, who enjoys a good poop in the yard as much as the next dog, is an 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel/Boston Terrier mix who lives on Martha's Vineyard, Mass. Stone, who enjoys long walks on the beach and tearing apart toys shaped like stuffed ducks, isn't aware that he shares his name with a celebrity.
In fact, Stone's owners, Bruce and Lori Stone of Edgartown, Mass., didn't realize their pup shared a name with an Oscar-winning director until his first visit to the vet in 2002. The couple's youngest daughter chose the name Oliver for her pet when she was just 10 years old, and it wasn't until the veterinarian paired the dog's first name with his owners' last name and called "Oliver Stone" in for his checkup that the Stones realized the connection. Needless to say, the announcement turned some heads. Below is proof of Oliver's famous name.
While the bathroom customs of the human Oliver Stone remain a mystery, his canine counterpart's habits make for exellent April Fools Day fodder.
Think this Oliver Stone news is nuts? Just wait until you see what we dug up on the likes of Will Smith, Adam Levine, Jimmy Fallon, and more!

Actress Denise Richards has called in Hollywood's top "dog whisperer" to control her mischievous mutts.
The Wild Things star's three energetic dogs--Boston terrier Lucy, French bulldog Hank and overly aggressive pug Betty--have been wreaking havoc on her life, and driving her crazy.
Richards agreed to meet with Cesar Millan, star of the National Geographic Channel's show Dog Whisperer, as a last resort.
Millan recalls, "It was chaos."
The dog expert, who also works with Oprah Winfrey and Hilary Duff's pets, blames a lack of discipline and exercise for the dogs' unruly behavior.
Millan also believes the actress' split from husband Charlie Sheen and single parenthood to two babies, Sam, 23 months, and Lola, 9 months, could have traumatized the dogs.
He explains, "Dogs are like kids. If parents are tense, they will sense it."
After an afternoon training session, Millan was able to restore order to the frazzled home.
He adds, "Once Denise started being the pack leader and not just the dog lover, it transformed the household."
