Famed celebrity snapper Peter Beard is facing a lawsuit from model Natalie White over claims he broke a promise to give her 50 signed photos from a shoot. Beard, who has shot classic pictures of rock icons including The Rolling Stones and David Bowie, is being sued over allegations he failed to hand over the images, which have a potential value of millions of dollars.
White claims he vowed to give her 50 signed photos from two shoots but he only handed over 16 before suffering a stroke in November (13), and she blames the lensman's wife for withholding the remaining images.
She is adamant she agreed the deal with Beard as recompense for organising models for the shoot, and had spent more than $100,000 (£58,800) of her savings on expenses, according to the New York Daily News.
Among the beauties who took part were Helena Christensen, Chanel Iman, and Pamela Anderson.
Eels frontman Mark Oliver Everett has been awarded the Freedom of the City of London at a ceremony in the British capital. Everett accepted the traditional honour on Thursday (24Jul) just hours before his rock band's gig at the city's Barbican Centre.
He follows in the footsteps of previous recipients including Dame Judi Dench, Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling, Sir Michael Caine, Henry Winkler and fellow rocker Bob Geldof, who picked up the same accolade in September (13).

Justin Bieber has landed a small role as a convict in his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez's new film, Behaving Badly.
The Come and Get It singer's latest movie features her as a straight-laced high school student who ends up on a "rock 'n' roll-themed odyssey" with her friend, played by The Fault in Our Stars actor Nat Wolff.
Their barely-legal shenanigans bring them to a prison, and in a clip from the film, Bieber makes a very brief cameo as a fellow inmate, donning an orange jumpsuit and shuffling in the background of the scene.
Ironically, Bieber's appearance is art imitating life - the Baby hitmaker has had his own slew of legal troubles over the past year, including a DUI charge after he was accused of drag racing with a pal in Miami Beach, Florida in January (14), allegations he lashed out at a limousine driver in December (13), and an assault lawsuit filed against him by a paparazzo in Miami following an altercation last summer (13).
Elvis Presley's last Cadillac car and a 1975 guitar are among the items going under the hammer at Graceland during the estate's annual Elvis Week. Every year, the rock and roll icon's legacy is celebrated at his former home in Memphis, Tennessee, and as part of the 10-day event, 72 of his personal items will be auctioned off next month (14Aug14).
Among the lots up for sale is a 1976 Cadillac Seville - the last one Presley purchased before his death in 1977 - a 1975 Martin D-28 guitar, a signed library card, the original script for his movie Love Me Tender, a 1969 Las Vegas show agreement, and the gemstone and diamond encrusted lion mask pendant and chain worn by the singer when he met U.S. President Richard Nixon at the White House in 1970.
Third-party collectors will also be auctioning off items, including a Bonhams sale at the Quail Lodge Auction in California on 15 August (14), which will feature Presley's Rolls-Royce Phantom V limousine. The luxury vehicle, which boasts a state-of-the-art radio, air-conditioning and a car phone, is expected to sell for an estimated $300,000 (£176,471).
"One of our 7 Bucks Entertainment prod (production) goals for 2015 is to start the development for a 'Rock One Man Show' live. Comedy, singing (w/ (with) my Willie guitar of course), stories and anecdotes, audience interaction..." Dwayne Johnson reveals he is planning a one-man show in 2015 during a Reddit.com web chat on Wednesday (23Jul14).
Former Lcd Soundsystem star James Murphy is reteaming with Greenberg director Noah Baumbach to score his upcoming film While We're Young. The winning duo previously collaborated for Baumbach's 2010 indie hit, which marked Murphy's debut film score.
Now the moviemaker has hired Murphy once again for his new comedy/drama, which stars Ben Stiller Naomi Watts, Amanda Seyfried, and Beastie Boys rapper Adam 'Ad-Rock' Horovitz.
While We're Young is slated to have its world premiere at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival in Canada this September (14).
Ted Nugent has attacked Idaho casino bosses who have axed his upcoming show at the Worley venue over his outspoken views. Coeur d’Alene Casino owners cited the rocker's "history of racist and hate-filled remarks" when they pulled his upcoming date (04Aug14), and now Nugent is firing back, claiming he has become a victim of America's liberals over his anti-Barack Obama and pro-hunting beliefs.
He tells Radio.com, "They literally have an army assigned to destroy Ted Nugent. To call me a racist is a clear act of desperation. Because everybody knows I’m not a racist!
"My bass player Johnny Gunnel happens to be a black guy. My bass player Marco Mendoza was born in Mexico! Are you kidding me? I pay tribute to Martin Luther King in my songs, I’ve always said my music is a direct result of Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley, and all the black musical heroes of my life."
Further attacking what he calls the "sick, stoned, hygiene-challenged (director) Michael Moore fans", the Cat Scratch Fever rocker adds, "They call in and complain that I’m a racist, they claim I’m a paedophile, that I dodged the draft. They call all the promoters, they call all the venues, they call all my sponsors, every day. Meanwhile, what am I doing? I’m going to rock my a** off tonight. And tomorrow night. And the next night."
Nugent is currently touring to promote his new album Shutup & Jam!
Country rocker Kid Rock has been subpoenaed to testify against hip-hop stars Insane Clown Posse and their label employees in an ongoing lawsuit filed against the duo by a former publicist. Andrea Pellegrini, who also served as the rappers' lawyer, launched legal action against her former clients last September (13) amid allegations of harassment, claiming she had been "mocked" and "belittled", and turned into "the subject of sexual advances" by a number of employees at the band's Psychopathic Records offices in Michigan, including co-worker Dan Diamond, aka Dirty Dan.
She listed a number of harassment incidents in her suit, including one in which Diamond tried to give her a glass sex toy after learning she was single.
He confessed to the cheeky act during his deposition in Las Vegas on Friday (18Jul14), revealing he ended up handing the phallus-shaped product to Kid Rock after Pellegrini rebuffed his saucy gift.
Kid Rock has now been ordered to produce the sex toy in court within 14 days.
Pellegrini is suing for harassment and wrongful termination after she was reportedly fired for reporting the disrespectful acts to label bosses in November, 2012, after three years with the firm.

Courtney Love is hoping to launch production on a Kurt Cobain biopic in the next 12 months.
The rocker has offered her full support to the filmmakers linked to the project and has come to terms with the fact she won't get to approve who plays her late husband in the movie - but she's happy with the actors lined up for the role.
She says, "The biopic should start within the next year or so (and) I won't name names, because I don't want to jinx it for anyone, but these are 25 year olds who are blond, gorgeous and the new Brad Pitts. There's a ton of those. Some are really good actors, not just pretty faces. I don't want to be the person who makes that decision."
And she admits that she and her daughter Frances Bean Cobain, together with the rocker's former Nirvana bandmates, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, will oversee the project when cameras start rolling.
She adds, "I do have a say in it. So do Frances and Krist and Dave for that matter, if it touches on Nirvana - and it will. I am leading the charge because it's time to do this."
Love put aside almost two decades of bad feeling between her and Nirvana stars Grohl and Novoselic when the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in April (14), hugging the stars and paying tribute to them during her speech on behalf of Cobain, who committed suicide in 1994.
