Captain America star Chris Evans has sparked rumours his on/off romance with Minka Kelly is back on after spending time with the actress in recent weeks. The action man initially dated Kelly in 2007 and they reunited in 2012, only to split once more last year (13).
However, it appears the couple is now back on after the brunette beauty was spotted with Evans at a family karaoke night in his hometown of Sudbury, Massachusetts in late September (14).
An onlooker tells People.com, "It looked like a family night out. They were with a bunch of people, including Chris's family, and Chris and Minka sat in the back while other people in their group got up and did some karaoke."
Evans also reportedly invited Kelly over for lunch at his Los Angeles home on Tuesday (21Oct14).
Kelly previously dated newly-retired baseball ace Derek Jeter from 2008 to 2011, while Evans romanced actress Jessica Biel from 2004 to 2006 and was linked to British beauty Alice Eve late last year (13).
Sinead O'Connor has discovered her planned appearance at the upcoming American Music Awards was scrapped when show officials couldn't book Pope Francis to join her onstage. The Nothing Compares 2 U singer, who famously ripped up a photo of late pontiff John Paul II on Saturday Night Live in 1992, has revealed she learned about the bizarre plan weeks later.
In a post on her website last week (10Oct14), which begins, "Are you sitting down? That’s what my manager said to me before he told me what I’m about to tell you", O'Connor explain executives from Dick Clark Productions had hoped that Pope Francis would introduce O'Connor, who was booked to perform Nothing Compares 2 U and her new single Take Me to Church.
She says, "Since naturally their idea was not only disrespectful to the Pope and to millions of Catholics (The idea he ought consider lowering his feet into the disgusting world of show business and celebrity at all! Never mind with Sinead O'Connor) they didn't get a response and consequently I'm now not doing the show."
Sinead adds, "I never heard anything so warped and disrespectful to both the Pope and myself, as well as millions of Catholics (As well as my fans, with whom I have some f**king street cred, thanks, and integrity) in my life.
"Oft' it is said 'That Sinead O'Connor is insane', and of course, there's no smoke without a little fire, but one wonders who is actually crazy after this. Really."
The American Music Awards will be held on 24 November (14).
Rockers the Foo Fighters closed out their week-long residency on America's The Late Show With David Letterman by performing their new single with Cheap Trick star Rick Nielsen. Dave Grohl and his bandmates, who are all huge fans of Cheap Trick, performed with Nielsen earlier in the week, as well as Heart sisters Nancy and Ann Wilson and Zac Brown - and they brought him back for their last night on Letterman's show.
The programme aired just hours after Grohl's new documentary TV series Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways debuted in America. That too featured Nielsen, recording Something From Nothing with the band in alternative music mogul Steve Albini's Chicago, Illinois studio.
Heavy rockers Cannibal Corpse have alleged they were forced to cancel concerts in Russia after local officials threatened them with arrest if the shows went ahead. The band's tour of the country was marred by problems from the start, when Orthodox Church leaders accused them of promoting religious hatred by singing about rape and murder.
Four of their eight shows were cancelled, with organisers blaming a number of last-minute problems, and the axing of a concert in St. Petersburg on Sunday night (12Oct14) led to unhappy fans clashing with riot police on the street outside the venue. A group of 18 devotees were arrested in connection with the protests.
The musicians have now spoken out about the troubles they encountered on the tour, accusing Russian authorities of deliberately sabotaging the trek.
A statement posted on the band's Facebook.com page reads, "As you all are certainly aware by now, our concerts in Ufa, Moscow, and St. Petersburg were cancelled. We were present in these cities and ready to perform each of these shows but were not permitted to. In Ufa, the power was turned off shortly before the show (we were told because the venue was late on rent), and in Moscow and St. Petersburg we were told that we did not have the correct visas and that if we attempted to perform the concert would be stopped by police and we would be detained and deported (prior to the tour we had been told that we did have the correct visas and that all of our paperwork was in order).
"Our show in Nizhny Novgorod also had problems. In that city we performed half of our set before being stopped by police. We were told the police needed to search the venue for drugs and that the show had to be terminated. These are the reasons for the cancellations as far as we have been told. On the brighter side, we had a fantastic time performing in Krasnodar, Samara, Chelyabinsk, and Yekaterinburg. We were able to play our full set in all four of those cities."
The bandmembers go on to apologise to fans for the problems they encountered and insist they hope to return to the country in the future. The statement adds, "We came to Russia excited and prepared to play all of the scheduled concerts, and we apologise that we were not able to do so. It was beyond our control. We are extremely disappointed. We have played in Russia many times and we love our Russian fans. Hopefully someday the situation for us in Russia will be different and we will be able to return."

Singer Christina Aguilera is set to return to U.S. reality show The Voice as a judge after giving birth to her daughter.
The "Beautiful" hitmaker decided to take a second hiatus from the show last year (13) and extended her break after learning she was pregnant with fiance Matthew Rutler's child earlier this year (14). She welcomed Summer Rain Rutler in August (14), and now she's planning to return to her spinning chair, which has been filled by fellow pop mums Shakira and Gwen Stefani for the past two seasons. Aguilera will join Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton for season eight of the hit show.
Announcing the news, Paul Telegdy, the president of alternative and late night programming at NBC Entertainment, says, "We are excited to welcome Christina back to her red chair and can't wait to see how she mixes things up among Adam, Blake and Pharrell, in what will be an incredibly competitive competition. "These four talented artists are at the top of their game as musicians and as coaches. The mentoring is sure to be intense and the stakes will be high." Season eight will air in the U.S. next spring (15).

Following SNL, Hooks had a recurring role on sitcoms Designing Women and 3rd Rock From the Sun. Her last TV appearance was in 2010 on fellow SNL alum Tina Fey's hit comedy, 30 Rock.
