Jennifer Lopez and her former Hollywood neighbour Halle Berry almost fell out after a desperate lover released hundreds of white doves outside the singer's home, leaving a huge mess in the stars' front yards. The singer/actress refuses to name the ex-boyfriend who made the grand gesture, but Sean 'Diddy' Combs was previously rumoured to have pulled off a stunt with doves as he tried to win Lopez back following their 2001 split.
She admits she was stunned by the bird surprise, but it wasn't enough to persuade her to take him back.
She explains, "I had broken up with somebody and they were trying to talk to me... and I was at my house getting ready for a big event... It was the daytime; we were doing hair and make-up and my hairdresser... goes, 'Oh my God! Oh my God! Come to the window!' So I go and then the phone rings. My assistant... came and she was like, 'Will you please just pick up the phone and talk to this person?' And they (the ex) were like, 'Look out the window. Miracles happen.'
"I go to the window. The person in charge (of the birds) out there saw me at the window, I guess that was their cue, and they released hundreds of white doves."
Lopez wasn't the only woman left flabbergasted by the dove release - her neighbour Berry found a number of dead birds in her yard after they were attacked by her dogs.
The superstar recalls, "It was a mess...! Halle Berry lived next door to me at the time and a few of them (doves) didn't make it, I guess, and her dogs... It was a situation! She was like, 'There's doves in my backyard!' I was like, 'I'm sorry!'"
Jennifer Aniston has opened up about her battle with dyslexia in a revealing new magazine interview.
Like many movie stars, the actress overcame her learning difficulties and admits she was relieved when she learned of her diagnosis in her early 20s - because she thought she simply "wasn't smart".
The former Friends star tells The Hollywood Reporter, "I went to get a prescription for glasses. I had to wear these Buddy Holly glasses. One had a blue lens and one had a red lens. And I had to read a paragraph, and they gave me a quiz, gave me 10 questions based on what I'd just read, and I think I got three right.
"Then they put a computer on my eyes, showing where my eyes went when I read. My eyes would jump four words and go back two words, and I also had a little bit of a lazy eye, like a crossed eye, which they always have to correct in photos.
"I thought I wasn't smart. I just couldn't retain anything. Now I had this great discovery. I felt like all of my childhood trauma-dies (sic), tragedies, dramas were explained."
Karen Gillan has had quite an incredible young career. In 2014 she starred in her first feature full-length film Oculus, her first Television comedy Selfie, and she played Nebula in the Marvel hit Guardians of the Galaxy. Before that she was Amy Pond for 37 episodes of the hit BBC series Doctor Who.
On Saturday January 17 she took time off her busy schedule to go to the Magic City Comic Con to sign autographs, take pictures, and have a Q&A with her fans.
Fan - Do you have any advice for being an actress?
Karen Gillan - Being an actress is really fun, so good choice. It's going to be really hard, its a hard profession to get into, but it's really worth it. I feel like today with all the things we have on youtube and all the cameras its quite easy to be self generating and make your own stuff. Just keep making things and in the mean time watch lots of stuff because that's what I do whenever I'm not acting. I watch actors who are better than me.
Fan - How would Nebula be as a companion of Doctor Who?
Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture
Karen Gillan - OH! That would be weird! I feel like she would have a hard time running behind the doctor. I feel like she would... I dunno. How would that cybernetic eye be in the Tardis? I feel like that would be an odd dynamic. Maybe she would make a really good companion if as she didn't turn on the Doctor because she's a little bit evil? A wee bit.
Fan - How would Amy be in the zombie apocalypse?
Karen Gillan - Oh! I think she would survive, I think she would be good. She's a strong lady.
Fan - If they made a second Guardians of the Galaxy, would you like to be in it?
Karen Gillan - Yes! I would love to be in it. That would be the coolest thing ever.
(Magic City Host: We heard a rumor it would be called Nebula's Revenge)
YES! I don't know if it is called that, but it would be the coolest thing ever if it was.
(Magic City Host: We look forward to your imminent return)
Uh I mean, me too.
Fan - What was your favorite episode to film of Doctor Who?
Karen Gillan - There's so many good ones, but my favorite would have to be the 11th hour. It's my favorite episode to watch and to make as well because we were establishing the characters. The Doctor and Amy were meeting for the first time and my cousin who played little Emilia did such a good job in making everyone like my character. I was like thanks for that cousin. I just think it was a magical episode, I really do.
Fan - If you could go anywhere in space and time with the Doctor, where would you go?
Karen Gillan - I've always wanted to go as far into the future as possible and see how we all develop. I have this theory that we're all going to have huge overdeveloped brains with no bodies left and we will be like these frail stubby little beings with like huge brains and will look really weird. That's fact.
Fan - Who is your favorite Doctor Who Villain?
Karen Gillan - I have two. Can I have two? First of all the Weeping Angels because they're the scariest. I want to know if anyone gets this reference... The second one I don't remember...
Fan - Would you ever consider coming back for another episode of Doctor Who?
Karen Gillan - I said no before and then I lied because I did go back for Matt's (Smith) regeneration. The possibility is definitely there. I would love to go back, that would be really special. It would be weird now because the whole team has changed over, but it would be really nice to get back on the Tardis for a day.
Fan - How would you believe Amy would react with Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor?
Karen Gillan - Well first of all she would approve of the voice. His unfaulty voice. I think they would make a good team. I think him and Clara together though, I think they make a really good team.
Fan - Out of all the shows or movies that you've acted in, which was your favorite?
Karen Gillan - Ugh that's a tough question. It's fun to play different characters, but I'd have to say that my favorite was Doctor Who. It always has a special place in my heart and it was one of the first things I ever did. Running away from monsters is so much fun.
Fan - Which Doctor is your favorite?
Karen Gillan - It has to be 11 (Matt Smith) and I'm not just saying that because I'm biased. I think he's my favorite portrayal of the character. I just love how alien Matt was about it and he's just a weird, strange guy. He's perfect for it.
Actress Olivia Munn had no idea who boyfriend Aaron Rodgers was when they first met.
The Green Bay Packers star hooked up with Munn at a party, but at first she just thought he was a good-looking nobody, and even when he introduced himself she had no idea he was a top U.S. sportsman.
She explains, "I had no idea... I said, 'So, what do you do?' and he said, 'I play football'. I go, 'Cool, what college?'
"He's like, 'Oh no, I play professional'. I said, 'Cool, what position?'. He went, 'Quarterback'. 'Cool'. That was kind of it... All I saw was that he was really attractive; I didn't care what he did."
Munn is currently commiserating with her man after his team were dumped out of a Super Bowl spot by the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday (18Jan15).
Acclaimed composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim surprised the cast and crew of a small Off-Broadway production of Into The Woods recently by stopping by to share some tips before opening night. The new version of the musical, which was turned into a Hollywood movie last year (14), is being staged at the Laura Pels Theatre with just 10 actors and a piano, and Sondheim decided to pay a visit to the group to give them some helpful pointers.
A source tells the New York Post, "Stephen did a musical brush-up with the cast.
"The cast was sitting in a circle and sang. He gave them notes, tips on 'tempo and cadence' and on parts of the score. It was so great that they got to sing for him."
The low-cost Roundabout Theatre Company production launches on Thursday (22Jan15).
Sondheim's Into The Woods play debuted on Broadway in 1987.
The movie adaptation of the show opened in theatres last month (Dec14) and has since landed three Oscar nominations, including one for Best Supporting Actress for Meryl Streep as the Witch.
We've often wondered if our preference for the younger of the Franco brothers stemmed something deeper -- perhaps from being a younger sibling, perhaps an aversion to the ubiquitousness of James Franco himself, or perhaps something larger. We've long stopped questioning our preference though because we've realized the reason is obvious: Dave is just infinitely hotter and more lovable than James.
1. He has an incredible range of facial expressions.
2. He has Hollywood's nicest smile.
3. He can fix things for you.
4. He's a damn good dresser.
5. He's a romantic.
6. He's a smooth talker.
7. And very likely a mind reader.
8. The way he licks his lips.
9. He even blinks perfectly.
10. He has the cutest laugh. Period.
11. He's a great friend.
12. He's nerdy (and a doctor).*
*He just plays one on TV.
13. He loves kittens. (We don't even like kittens that much, but we like how happy they make him).
14. He practices acroyoga (or maybe he's just an airplane, WHO CARES IT'S ADORABLE).
15. He makes you wish this GIF would move down, just a touch.
16. He's gorgeous, and he can make rhymes about what his beauty brings him.
17. He would be an enthusiastic lover.
18. He knows how to party properly.
19. He can do MAGIC!
20. He's a nice guy!
21. Most importantly, that smile.
Still think James is hotter?
We didn't think so. Take that, James!

Controversial pop star Miley Cyrus has landed a role on the committee organising Sir Elton John's annual Academy Awards viewing party.
The veteran singer's charity event is considered one of Tinseltown's hottest tickets of the year, and Cyrus has been named as one of the co-chairs of the 2015 bash.
Cyrus, who has become known for controversial antics in recent years, is believed to have landed the role through her partnership with make-up giant MAC, which is among the sponsors of the event.
Elton John, who has been running his Oscar viewing party for 23 years, has previously branded Cyrus a "meltdown waiting to happen" over her brash behavior, which includes saucy performances, smoking pot onstage and stripping off for risque photoshoots.
Other big names on the list of co-chairs include actors Jim Carrey, Denzel Washington and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as Nicole Kidman and her husband Keith Urban, and Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne.
The party is held in Los Angeles on the night of the Oscars and raises funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. This year's (15) party takes place on 22 February (15) and features a performance by Nile Rodgers and CHIC, and food by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.
Police in Israel have arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of hacking into Madonna's computer and leaking songs from her new album Rebel Heart. The suspect, who has not been named, was detained by members of the country's Lahav 433 crime-fighting unit on Wednesday (21Jan15).
A statement released by the organisation suggests officers are investigating allegations the suspect "broke into the personal computers of several international artists over the past few months and stole promotional final-cut singles which have yet to be released and traded them online for a fee."
The investigation began after a security firm reportedly traced the breach of Madonna's computer to Israel, and the case was handed over to the Lahav 433, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Several of Madonna's new songs leaked online prior to their planned release date, prompting the singer to push them out early. The singer subsequently hit headlines by branding the leak "artistic rape".
