Johnny Depp stunned Aerosmith fans in Massachusetts on Wednesday (16Jul14) when he joined the rockers onstage to play guitar. The movie star has been filming the Whitey Bulger biopic Black Mass in Boston for the past few months, and on Wednesday he took some time off to attend the rock band's concert at the Xfinity Center in nearby Mansfield.
During the encore, frontman and Massachusetts native Steven Tyler asked the crowd to give a warm welcome to his surprise guest, and exclaimed, "Yo! Bringing out on stage my good friend, Mr. Johnny Depp!"
Depp strapped on his guitar and came out to join Aerosmith for their classic song Train Kept A-Rollin, and the actor even played an extended solo during the performance.
This isn't the first time Depp has collaborated with the rockers for the track - he played on the studio version of the song, which featured on their 2012 album Music From Another Dimension! He also played the track live in concert during shows the same year.
Last month (Jun14), Depp also made a surprise appearance at music icon Willie Nelson's gig in Boston by playing guitar with the singer's Family Band.
British rockers Twisted Wheel have parted ways after seven years together. The band announced the split by posting "R.I.P. Twisted Wheel" on Twitter.com.
Frontman Jonny Brown later added a statement on Facebook.com confirming the news and thanking fans for their support over the years.
The message reads, "From Fuji Rocks Festival to Glastonbury, Elgin to Tokyo, Manchester to Stockholm, Dublin to L.A, toilet tours to supports with Paul Weller, Oasis, Ian Brown, Happy Mondays, Kasabian... It has been a true honour to have fronted such a great rock n roll band and play some of the most mental shows of the last 10 years... I cannot thank you fans enough for making the adventure so much fun. I wouldn't change a single minute of it for the world, but now it's time to move on."
Brown goes on to hint that he will return as a solo artist, adding, "I will continue to make music and it won't be long before I will be back gigging with new songs to play. Hope people can understand and note that all good things must come to an end... Hopefully will see you soon when I'm back with my next invention. Watch this space!!!"
The rockers released two albums during their career and boasted famous fans including Liam Gallagher and Paul Weller.
Ringo Starr has teamed up with fashion designer John Varvatos to raise funds for director David Lynch's transcendental meditation foundation. The former Beatles star is the face of Varvatos' 2014 Peace Rocks autumn fashion collection, and the rocker announced the news during a rally in Los Angeles on Monday (07Jul14) to mark his 74th birthday.
In a black and white promotional picture for the drive, Starr wears sunglasses and a leather jacket and pulls his trademark 'peace' sign. Each campaign snap will be accompanied by the #PeaceRocks hashtag.
Fans are encouraged to post 'selfie' snaps of themselves making the peace finger gesture on Twitter.com and every time the hashtag is used, Varvatos' company will donate $1 (£1.70) to the Ringo Starr Peace & Love Fund, which supports Lynch's foundation.
The moviemaker's charity promotes the use of transcendental meditation in public schools and for members of the military.
Starr also appears in a short film for the campaign in which he sits behind a drum kit and talks about his musical aspirations as a youngster.
The musician tells WWD.com of his new project, "John Varvatos made me a male model finally. At home, I've always been a male model. And now I'm out on the streets with it."
Ringo Starr plans to celebrate his 74th birthday later this month (Jul14) with a huge "peace and love" rally in Los Angeles.
The Beatles legend reaches the milestone on Monday (07Jul14) and he is inviting fans to join him at the Hollywood Walk of Fame outside the Capitol Records building for a "birthday salute".
He is also asking followers to pose for photographs with the theme "peace rocks" and post the images on various social networking websites on Monday to mark the special occasion.

It pretty much doesn't get any cuter than that. We'll have to keep an eye on K-Row's maternity fashion. There will definitely be some exciting things ahead!

Okay. So maybe they didn't outdo Beyoncé in every way. They don't sing, and they're not married to one of the most important artists alive. But Yanis Marshall, Arnaud Boursain and Mehdi Mamine just slayed the choreography to this Beyoncé megamix in a way that makes us think the Queen Bey should bow down to them.
The group is most well known for their appearance on Britain’s Got Talent, and they have a host of YouTube videos similar to this one. Between the beards, the high heels, and the fact that this was a mere rehearsal—we're sold!
