Remembering Garner during an appearance on U.S. breakfast show Today on Monday (21Jul14), the Ghostbusters star said, "What a classy guy. He was just the old school Hollywood. Gracious and generous...
"(He had) no pretensions at all. (I) got to work with him and Jack Lemmon in that picture My Fellow Americans, and James was just first class; (a) first class actor and man... He will be missed."

Panic! At The Disco turned a Westboro Baptist Church picket into a fundraiser for the Human Rights Campaign by pledging $20 (£11.76) for every protester who showed up at their concert on Sunday night (20Jul14). Hours before taking to the stage for their Kansas City, Missouri tour stop, the rockers discovered the religious extremists were planning a protest outside the venue, and they decided to put a positive spin on the demonstration.
The musicians announced on Twitter.com that for every member of Westboro to show up at the protest, the band will donate $20 (£11.76) to the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), a civil rights organisation which works to achieve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) equality.
Following the concert, they took to the microblogging site to reveal how much money they raised for the charity, writing, "Thank you (Westboro Baptist Church) for the update on the total amount you donated to @HRC today. $20X13= weak. We're going to make it an even $1,000. We will also be donating 5 per cent of our total merch (merchandise) sales from this show to @HRC."

R&B star Chris Brown has reportedly split from his on/off girlfriend Karrueche Tran once again, just weeks after reuniting following his two-month stint behind bars.
The Kiss Kiss hitmaker walked free from jail on 2 June (14) after admitting to breaking the terms of his 2009 probation by getting kicked out of a court-ordered rehab programme.
Tran celebrated his release by throwing him a star-studded surprise party and she accompanied her beau as his date to the BET Awards in Los Angeles on 29 June (14).
They spent America's Independence Day holiday together on Friday (04Jul14), when Brown uploaded a raunchy snap of Tran lying face down on a bed wearing nothing but a bra and a skimpy thong, baring her backside, to his more than 3.7 million followers.
However, it appears their romance has since soured, prompting both Brown and Tran to delete all photos of the couple from its Instagram.com accounts and 'unfollow' one another.
Tran hinted at the break-up on Sunday (06Jul14) with a cryptic post that read: "Love what you have before life teaches you to love what you lost". She followed it up with a Buddha quote which stated, "In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you."
In the accompanying caption, she simply wrote, "Well.."
The former couple began dating in 2011, two years after Brown was convicted of assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of the Grammy Awards in 2009.
He and Tran split in 2012 as he attempted to rekindle his relationship with the Umbrella beauty, but he reconciled with the model in 2013. They parted ways again in early March (14), only to pick their romance back up weeks later.

The Jolene hitmaker was on such a high after her triumphant show, she spoke to the event's organiser Michael Eavis about the possibility of starting a festival at her Dollywood theme park in Tennessee.
She tells British newspaper The Sun, "I have a lotta (sic) land up near east Tennessee and we do a lot of festivals through my Dollywood company. "I've often thought I might start my own festival in Tennessee. Maybe I'll get good pointers from this one. I think I'm going to do that - Michael can give me some tips. Why wouldn't I want something amazing like this?"
Chris Brown has been caught on camera stumbling out of a nightclub following the BET Awards with three associates attempting to hold him upright.
The troubled singer, who was released from jail at the beginning of June (14), made his comeback on Sunday night (29Jun14) by performing at the glitzy awards show in Los Angeles. After the ceremony, Brown headed to the city's Playhouse nightclub to continue the party and he was caught on tape leaving the venue in the early hours of Monday morning (30Jun14).
In the footage, obtained by TMZ.com, Brown is shown emerging from the venue being supported by two friends, who help carry the star out before another associate goes to help. Brown is seen clutching the third man's arm as he stumbles towards a car driven by his girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
Brown served two months in jail after he admitted breaking the terms of his probation relating to his 2009 assault on then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Troubled pop stars Justin Bieber and Chris Brown showed off their sporting skills by going head-to-head at a celebrity basketball match on Saturday (28Jun14).
The pals, who have both faced legal troubles in recent months, joined the likes of Snoop Dogg, The Game, Tyga and Soulja Boy for the game, which was part of the annual BET Experience festivities leading up the BET Awards show on Sunday (29Jun14).
Brown, who has kept a low-profile since being released from jail earlier this month (Jun14), managed to defeat Bieber's team in overtime with a winning shot by Snoop Dogg.
Despite the loss, Bieber's spirits were not dampened as he shared snaps from the game on his social media accounts and thanked organisers for letting him take part.
In a Twitter.com post, he wrote, "Thank you to everyone at BET for having me today at the game. Honoured to play and thanks for being so kind."
Brown spent more than two months in prison for violating his probation relating to his assault on ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He walked free on 2 June (14).
Britain's Glastonbury Festival has been marred by a second death just hours before the first official performances kicked off on Friday (27Jun14). A 67-year-woman died of natural causes at the event shortly after the gates opened at the site in Somerset, England on Wednesday (25Jun14), and a male reveller was later admitted to hospital in critical condition after suffering an allergic reaction to the drug ketamine.
The 26-year-old man died in hospital on Friday morning (27Jun14), shortly before the festival got into full swing with performances from acts including the Kaiser Chiefs, John Newman and Blondie.
A statement from local police reads, "A man has died following a suspected reaction to ketamine. The man was taken ill overnight on Wednesday into Thursday and was taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary. Unfortunately he died earlier today (Friday)... His death is not considered suspicious. At this stage we believe this was an individual reaction to ketamine and was not from a bad batch of the drug."
The festival, which runs until Sunday (29Jun14), is also set to feature performances from Arcade Fire, Metallica, Kasabian, Lily Allen, Ed Sheeran and Jack White.
