Terrence Howard is urging a judge to overturn his alimony payments because he cannot afford the bill. The Iron Man star split from his third wife Michelle Ghent in 2011 and their bitter divorce was finalised last year (13), when he was ordered to pay $5,800 (£3,625)-a-month in spousal support until 2016.
Ghent claims he owes her $325,000 (£191,200) in payments but Howard has alleged in new court documents obtained by TMZ.com that he could never pay her back because he only receives $5,878 (£3,500)-a-month once he has paid spousal and child support to his second ex-wife, Lori McCommas.
Howard has asked a judge to throw out their divorce settlement, claiming he was pressured into signing it.
The actor married his fourth wife, Miranda, last year (13).
Keyshia Cole's estranged husband has distanced himself from a divorce filing in his name, insisting he has not moved to make the split official. The singer confirmed her split from basketball player Daniel Gibson in March (14) after less than three years of marriage, and it appeared the sports player had started divorce proceedings when papers were filed at a court in Los Angeles last week (ends20Jul14).
However, Gibson is adamant the documents filed in his name at Los Angeles County Superior Court were lodged by an impostor.
He tells TMZ.com, "She (Cole) would have to do it (file the divorce papers). I am a Christian. I believe in 'til death do us part."
Editors of the website report the paperwork lists Gibson as his own attorney, and gives a home address which is actually a branch of U.S. fast food chain El Pollo Loco.
Director Michael Moore is single again after finalising his divorce from his producer wife Kathleen Glynn. The Fahrenheit 9/11 filmmaker moved to end the 21-year marriage in June, 2013, and the split was made official in Antrim County Circuit Court in Michigan on Tuesday (22Jul14).
The couple wed in 1991. They have no children together.
U.S. TV personality Sherri Shepherd will maintain physical custody of her nine-year-old son after winning a court battle on Monday (21Jul14). Since April (14), the former The View co-host had been locked in a legal tussle with her ex-husband Jeff Tarpley, who sought full custody of their son Jeffrey by claiming Shepherd was too busy to look after him properly.
On Monday, a judge at Los Angeles Superior Court ruled against Tarpley's request, adding that "there has not been a material change in circumstances," to warrant altering custody arrangements, according to documents obtained by People.com.
Shepherd celebrated on Twitter.com, writing, "God is good! Victory!!! The prayers of the righteous availeth (sic) much!!!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers! #tearfulmama (sic)."
However, her legal troubles are not over. Her battle with estranged husband Lamar Sally over their unborn baby, which is being carried by a surrogate, is still unresolved. Shepherd filed for divorce from Sally in May (14).
An actress who has appeared in TV hits The Walking Dead and The Vampire Diaries has been sentenced to 18 years behind bars for sending ricin-laced letters to U.S. President Barack Obama and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Shannon Rogers Richardson pleaded guilty to the crime in December (13), six months after she was arrested for sending three 'poisoned' notes to Obama, Bloomberg and his colleague Mark Glaze, threatening harm if they continued to push for tougher gun control laws.
The highly-toxic substance, which can cause death, caused minor injuries to one mail clerk, but the letters never made it to her intended targets.
The 36 year old, also known as Shannon Guess Richardson, appeared in a federal court in Texarkana, Texas on Wednesday (16Jul14), when she used the opportunity to apologise to her victims, stating, "I never intended to hurt anyone."
Richardson was ordered to spend the next 18 years in a federal prison. Once completed, she must also spend five years on supervised release and pay $367,000 (£215,882) in restitution.
She had initially blamed her estranged husband Nathaniel Richardson for sending the letters. He filed for divorce last year (Jun13).
Dance music superstar David Guetta is still fighting over the division of assets with his ex-wife Cathy, four months after their divorce was finalised. The couple's 24-year marriage was officially declared over in a Paris, France court in March (14), but it appears the pair has yet to reach an agreement over how to split its shared business interests.
A source tells the New York Post's Page Six column, "Cathy owns all of the business names, and the music (rights), (including) their 'F**k Me I'm Famous' brand (of dance parties and popular compilation albums).
"Even though (their divorce) is finalized, things are not good."
The report suggests Guetta will lose half of his $30 million (£17.65 million) fortune to his ex as she was key in helping him establish himself as a top producer/DJ over the years.
Another insider adds, "He's the rock star, but she's the business mogul."
Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian has taken aim at her estranged husband Lamar Odom for allegedly spending her 29th birthday last year (13) with another woman. Kim Kardashian's younger sister filed for divorce from the embattled basketball player in December (13) after longrunning speculation suggesting he had been battling addiction issues and had been unfaithful to his wife.
Khloe denied the multiple tabloid reports in the months leading up to the court filing, but now she is finally opening up about what drove her to end the four-year marriage.
In preview footage for her family reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Khloe reveals she was well aware of his infidelity and even had to spend her 29th birthday in June, 2013 alone.
Confirming the rumours for the first time, she tells her sister Kourtney, "The way I was living is not a way to live! I kept in hiding every time there was something going on. I would have to lie, or conceal, or cover up, and I'm so over it!
"Let me tell you something. Last year on my birthday I lied to everyone because I had to lie and say I was with my husband when in fact my husband was messing with another girl... I was alone and lied to everyone."
Khloe has since moved on from her broken marriage and celebrated her 30th birthday last month (Jun14) with her new boyfriend, rapper French Montana.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode in question is due to air in America on Sunday (13Jul14).
A woman who alleges Beyonce's dad Mathew Knowles fathered her baby daughter has asked for privacy as she fights for child support. Taqoya Branscomb hit headlines on Tuesday (08Jul14) when it emerged she had filed suit in a Harris County, Texas court seeking a DNA test to prove that music manager Knowles is her little girl's dad.
The plaintiff claims she fell pregnant after a fling with Knowles in 2010 - the same year his ex-wife, Beyonce's mum Tina, filed for divorce.
However, Branscomb insists she is not looking for fame.
A statement issued to U.S. daytime show The Talk reads: "I have taken the necessary legal action against Mathew Knowles. With that being said, it's in my best interest for this to remain a private matter for now. It was never my intention for this to become a public matter."
Knowles has yet to comment on the lawsuit.
Stylist Tina Knowles moved to end her 31-year marriage to Mathew after discovering he had been cheating on her with another woman, Alexsandra Wright, the mother of his four-year-old son, Nixon.
Mathew is already paying Wright child support, although earlier this year (14), his monthly fees were reduced from $12,000 (£7,058) to $2,400 (£1,412) after arguing his income had dropped significantly since he was fired as Beyonce's manager in 2011.
Beyonce's dad Mathew Knowles has been hit with a second paternity lawsuit from a woman who alleges he fathered her child. In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Taqoya Branscomb filed suit in a Harris County, Texas court, claiming she became pregnant after having a fling with Knowles in 2010 - the same year his ex-wife, Beyonce's mum Tina, filed for divorce.
Branscomb is asking Knowles for a DNA test, declaration of paternity and child support.
Tina Knowles initially split from her ex-husband after finding out he was cheating on her with another woman, Alexsandra Wright, whom he also got pregnant.
They share a four-year-old son, Nixon, and earlier this year (14), Knowles's child support payment was reduced from $12,000 (£7,005) to $2,400 (£1,411)-a-month after his income dropped when he was fired as Beyonce's music manager in 2011.
Donovan Leitch's supermodel wife Kirsty Hume has filed for divorce, just months after the actor/rocker dismissed rumours linking him to Gwyneth Paltrow. The Camp Freddy star has been separated from the Scottish beauty for three years, and Hume is now making the split official by filing court papers.
The former couple married in 1997 and is parents to a 10-year-old daughter.
In the divorce papers, obtained by TMZ.com, Hume confirms they have been separated since 2011 and asks for joint custody of their little girl, Violet.
The news comes just months after Leitch spoke out to dismiss pictures which appeared to show him kissing his ex-girlfriend Paltrow at a baseball game last year (13) before the actress announced her split from Chris Martin.
Leitch, who dated Paltrow in the 1990s, said at the time, "It was purely innocent. We were sitting in the owner's box in front of 30,000 people with her two children right next to us. That isn't exactly the setting for a secret liaison. I consider her one of my closest friends. We have tons of great friends in common."
