Liam Neeson overcame his crippling fear of heights to spend time with his son on a hill-walking trip. The Taken actor opened up to British magazine Radar about his greatest fears, revealing he is terrified of heights and technology.
Although he refuses to tackle his gadget woes, he did face his fear of heights in the name of father/son bonding.
He says, "I do have a fear of heights but my son and I recently climbed this little peak called Mollie's Nipple in Utah. It's only 3,000 feet or something but I was s**t-scared, especially getting nearer the summit. It wasn't pickaxe time but it was pretty steep.
"Everybody says don't look down but you have to look down. It was scary but I'm glad I did it. I did it for my son."
The Irish star is father to sons Micheal, 19, and 18-year-old Daniel with his late wife, Natasha Richardson.
"He watched about an hour of filming and we were waiting to see what he thought when he wrote a note saying, 'Would you ask Felicity if she will come and give me a kiss?' It shows his rather flirty nature and this amazing capacity he has to not take himself too seriously. I embraced him and told him 'You're amazing!'" Actress Felicity Jones got close to scientist Stephen Hawking on the set of The Theory Of Everything, which was based on the memoirs of his first wife.

Royalties and music rights for the singer are valued at $350,000 (£218,750).
Northern Irish pop star Nadine Coyle is plotting a music comeback by starting work on a second solo album. The former Girls Aloud singer is hoping her next record will be more of a success than her flop 2010 debut Insatiable, which only reached number 47 in the U.K. album chart.
Coyle is confident her solo career will be better the second time around, telling Attitude magazine, "We have some great songs you could put out next week!"
The singer released her first solo album during a hiatus from Girls Aloud. The pop group reunited in 2012 but disbanded for good a year later (13).
Pop star-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham is too busy for baby number five. The former Spice Girls star has seen her fashion career take off in recent years, and she admits having another child with her soccer star husband David would be too much work.
Beckham tells Britain's Grazia magazine, "Well the next thing someone would normally ask is am I pregnant? I seem to get asked that regularly but no, I'm not having another baby - there's enough going on. But you know it's a really exciting time for me and my team and there are a lot of people that have come on this journey with me and they've made all this possible."
The 40 year old and her husband are already parents to sons Brooklyn, 15, Romeo, 12, and Cruz, nine, and daughter Harper, three.
Actor Shia Labeouf has obtained a restraining order on a woman who was found lurking around his Sherman Oaks, California home last month (Aug14). Graciela Nahle, 31, has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards away from the Transformers star, after she plead no contest to trespassing in a Los Angeles court.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ.com, she was subsequently sentenced to 45 days in jail but was released after serving four days of her term.
The court papers also reveal that Nahle visited LaBeouf's home at least three different times in the past few months, including an incident where she showed up eating watermelon in his driveway and when he told her to leave, she allegedly screamed at him, "I am going to blow up your house! I am going to blow up the world! You are Albert Einstein and we belong together!"
Editors at TMZ.com also report that Nahle once arrived at his property with an infant and claimed to have been best friends with him in a past life.
"She's one of those people where you try to find things wrong with her because she's so pretty, smart, talented, and funny. And it's maybe a little annoying. But she's so nice and amazing you don't hold anything against her. There's gotta be something wrong with her, though." Actress Zooey Deschanel on New Girl guest star Jessica Biel.
The police sergeant caught up in actress Daniele Watts' detention drama last week (11Sep14) insists a recording of his encounter with the Django Unchained star will help him prove she's making "malicious and false statements" about himself and fellow officers. Watts and her boyfriend, celebrity chef Brian James Lucas, were apprehended by police following reports suggesting the couple had been spotted indecently exposing themselves in their car in Studio City, California.
Angry Watts refused to hand over identification and began walking away. She was apprehended, handcuffed and taken back to the scene in a police car.
Lucas told TMZ.com on Monday (15Sep14) that he and Watts have hired a lawyer and plan to file a formal complaint against the officers, as Los Angeles police officials launched an internal investigation.
But now Sgt. Jim Parker has opened up about the incident, revealing he recorded what went down - and it will prove that he and his fellow officers did nothing wrong.
Sgt. Parker insists he had no intention of arresting "people having sex in the car" when he was called to the scene, adding, "No one wants to arrest anybody... She (Watts) starts making a fuss, and quite frankly I don't need to see her ID but she does have to ID herself."
The officer refused to confront Watts or chase after her as she walked away, and instead called on a nearby female cop to apprehend her.
Sgt. Parker tells The Hollywood Reporter, "I've been here before, I'm not touching her. I don't want to be accused of anything. So I requested a female officer and said, 'Hey guys, grab that female on the phone and bring her back to me'.
"I'm thinking, 'God, it's taking a long time to bring her back to me'. They said, 'She's being difficult'. They have her handcuffed, because that's what they do. It's too far to walk, so they drove her back. And I said, 'You have to give me your ID or tell me your name'. She's crying."
Watts told CNN on Monday that the LAPD officers "accosted me and forced me into handcuffs', and insisted the cops suggested she had done "something wrong by showing affection, fully clothed, in a public place".
She also accused the police of disrespecting her.
But Sgt. Parker insists his recording will prove the police officers did nothing wrong, adding, "She had no idea I was recording. So I asked her, 'Why are you in handcuffs? He's (Lucas) been here this whole time not in handcuffs. Tell me if someone has been disrespectful'.
"Police officers can record surreptitiously without consent. The other officers also had their recording on. It helps the police department. (Without it) the three of us (police officers) would be relieved of duty right now."
Jenny Mccarthy has already lost her wedding ring less than a month after exchanging vows with actor/singer Donnie Wahlberg. The model-turned-TV personality wed the New Kids on the Block hunk on 31 August (14) near her hometown of Chicago, Illinois, but she lost the band he gave her on their big day following a sex session on honeymoon.
During an interview with New York morning chat show Good Day NY on Monday (15Sep14), she admitted she took the ring off before a romantic encounter with her new husband, and it disappeared.
McCarthy revealed, "We were staying in a hotel and you can't have a wedding ring on... it's a little hard to get romantic with diamonds on your hand.
"I removed it and put it on the room service table and they (staff) came and turned down the room and the ring was gone."
But McCarthy isn't too upset about the loss of her ring, adding, "If you’re gonna lose your wedding ring, you should lose it that way."
She's still hoping someone finds it, realises what it is and returns the ring: "They could have maybe not seen it, or it could have gone under a dish and (been) thrown away on accident.
"But I’m missing it today! I keep going, 'Where is my ring?' But Donnie and I are both laughing that at least we lost it for the best reason possible!"
McCarthy added a thick gold band with diamonds on her big day, to match the already impressive yellow sapphire engagement ring Wahlberg gave her when he popped the question in April (14).
"My husband and I were in the supermarket the other day, holding hands, and someone said, 'Oh, you're back together...?' And I said, 'When were we apart...?' I said, 'Jim, what are they talking about?' and he said, 'Well, you know, the rags print this stuff'. It's like, why do they have to make up stories? I don't get it."
