Glee star Naya Rivera has wed actor Ryan Dorsey in Mexico just three months after she called off her engagement to rapper Big Sean.
The actress married Dorsey, who has enjoyed roles in Parks and Recreation and Southland, on 19 July (14) in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico in an intimate ceremony in front of a small group of family members.
Rivera wore a Monique Lhuillier gown and carried a bouquet of daisies as they exchanged vows, according to People.com. The couple says in a statement, "We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife... Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for."
The nuptials come as a surprise for fans as speculation about the pair's romance only surfaced this month (Jul14).
The couple has reportedly been friends since they met four years ago and they began dating after Rivera's engagement to rapper Big Sean ended in April (14).
Simon Cowell has been bombarded with sickening messages on Twitter.com over a donation he made to a fund for Israeli soldiers.
The X Factor boss handed $150,000 (£88,000) to the Friends of the Israel Defence Forces (FIDF) at a fundraising gala in Beverly Hills, California last year (13).
However, the conflict in the Middle East erupted again this month (Jul14) and several protesters on Twitter have since sent the music mogul hate-filled messages and gruesome photographs of victims of the fighting.
One user told Cowell, "You have blood on ur (your) hands" and another posted a photo of a father holding his dead baby, alongside the message, "U (you) donated money to Israel to do this. Now imagine this was ur (your) child."
FIDF was founded by Holocaust survivors in 1981 and provides support for Israeli soldiers.
"I'm still shocked (he held me down)! Like whoa. (Papoose) is an official dude. Nobody can ever front on that. He held me down better than some of my best friends who I grew up with, some of my family members." Incarcerated rapper Remy Ma, who is due to walk free next week (begs28Jul14), cannot believe her husband Papoose has been standing by her through her lengthy prison sentence. She wed her fellow hip-hop star in 2008, while behind bars for a 2007 shooting.
Selena Gomez has a new gal pal in British model Cara Delevingne - the friends were photographed sunbathing on a yacht off the coast of St. Tropez, France, where the pop star is celebrating her 22nd birthday on Tuesday (22Jul14).
Former Marilyn Manson guitarist John 5 and Van Halen's David Lee Roth have teamed up to record a new album. The heavy rocker, real name John William Lowery, landed his big break when Lee Roth hired him for his 1998 album DLR Band and now the two old friends have reunited in the studio to work on a new California Sessions project.
John 5 tells Canadian blogger Mitch Lafon, "It's 11 of the greatest songs you'll ever hear, and it's just me and Dave, and we had Gregg Bissonette play drums on it. And it's unbelievable.
"There's a song called Somewhere Over The Rainbow Bar & Grill and just great, great songs. And hopefully sometime it'll see the light of day. But he's (Lee Roth) busy with Van Halen, all that stuff. But it's an incredible record.
"I would just go over to his house during the day and write this music and then he would book the studio at night. So we would go into A&M Studios... and we'd record. It sounds like just Dave from that Van Halen I or II or Women And Children First era."
And Lee Roth isn't the only rock god John 5 has been working with - he has collaborated with Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford on the 2WO project. The guitarist is also currently working with Rob Zombie.
Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith's daughter Willow has had a tough lesson on drugs after learning her cousin was slipped a date rape pill at a party.
The unnamed relative was out with pals when someone laced her drink with a drug that knocked her out for three hours. Friends had to sit with the 20 year old in a room to make sure no harm came to her while she was out for the count.
Pinkett Smith tells WENN, "Thank God nothing happened because she was with some responsible guys that took care of her and with three of her friends. She was saved because she was with her friends."
"She started losing consciousness, and immediately the people that she was with put her into a room, closed the door and got the other girl there - and kept her there. She didn't come to for three and a half hours. "She's doing fantastic. Thank goodness nothing happened and it was a big lesson for her."
Rather than try to sweep the scary incident under the carpet and forget about it, Pinkett Smith decided to use it as a life lesson for her teenage daughter, Willow. She adds, "I had my niece sit down with my daughter and a couple of her friends and tell her about that experience. I don't just sit with Willow and go, 'Hey, this is what mummy thinks', I just bring in for her a little reality to validate what mummy's been talking about."
"When you have your 20-year-old cousin come in and she's like, 'This is what happens...', and she's someone that you look up to as well; she's like, 'Oh man, this is really real. Let me pay attention'. Then she can kind of mesh the information that I've been giving her and the information her father's been giving her, her brothers have been giving her, with the truth of this reality - of how this event actually touched our lives..."
"She welcomes that kind of information and she welcomes when she can have more truth too. If you allow a person to be an individual and have power within and have confidence on who they are, she'll never have to look into the eyes of a man and question whether it's a 'yes' or a 'no'. She's gonna be very clear and she's gonna be in a position to determine how to protect herself and know when she's in danger. Should you be a girl that goes into a room with four men drinking? Should you? Even if you think you know them. Is this about wanting to be the cool girl? Or is this about wanting to set a standard for yourself?"
Simon Cowell has spoken out to insist rumours he is gay are untrue following extraordinary allegations in a London court that he has slept with several men.
A jury at Southwark Crown Court heard the sensational claim last week (ends20Jul4) during the trial of former N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos for brokering a cocaine deal for an undercover journalist.
That case collapsed on Monday (21Jul13) and the pop star was cleared of the charge, and Cowell has subsequently issued a statement addressing allegations heard by the jury.
Secretly-filmed footage contained a clip of Contostavlos' personal assistant Gareth Varey telling the reporter that Cowell is homosexual and has slept with several of Varey's friends.
In a statement, a representative for The X Factor boss says, "Simon was referred to during the trial without forewarning, resulting in widespread media coverage of untrue claims regarding his private life."
"In 2014 the question of whether someone is or is not gay is antiquated. (As it happens he isn't, though if he were, he would simply have said so). "However, the issue was the false suggestion made by Mr. Varey that Simon - who is renowned for his honesty and candidness - had thus not been truthful in the public arena and this is what we have been obliged to clarify."
Formula One drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button are among the sports stars who have sent handwritten messages of support to critically injured Michael Schumacher while he is recovering from a serious head injury. Among the invitees were Cole's former Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and mother-to-be Kimberley Walsh, as well as The Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes and husband, former JLS star Marvin Humes. Cole's The X Factor boss Simon Cowell was also expected at the party, and most of the guests arrived in monochrome attire.
Cole was photographed arriving hand-in-hand with her new husband wearing a black strapless floor-length gown while Fernandez-Versini matched in an all black suit.
