British socialite Pippa Middleton felt "embarrassed" by the attention she received for wearing a body-hugging bridesmaid dress on the day her elder sister married Prince William. Kate Middleton became Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge when she married the British royal in London in 2011, and her younger sibling became a sensation as she escorted her sister down the aisle in front of TV viewers across the globe.
Pippa has now given her first TV interview and spoken of the magical wedding which captured the imagination of millions, insisting she had no idea her sister's big day would be such a huge event.
She tells America's Today show, "It sounds funny to say, but we saw it, as just a family wedding. And actually, I didn't realise, perhaps, the scale of it until afterwards. We all took on the the roles as any family would."
Prince William's sister-in-law also admits she felt embarrassed by the attention her now-famous Alexander McQueen bridesmaid dress received, "It was completely unexpected... I think the plan was not really for it to be a significant dress. Really just to sort of blend in with the (wedding dress) train.. (it was) embarrassing, definitely... it wasn't planned."
She adds of the dress, "It's actually still in my wardrobe at home. I haven't worn it since. But I think I'll just keep it there... I think it's the sort of thing that I'm sure I'll bring out if someone wanted to see it or my children one day want to see it. Then I'll show them."
Pippa goes on to reveal she has felt "publicly bullied" when she reads stories about herself which are not true, but she is adamant joining the royal family has not affected her relationship with her sister, insisting, "We spend a lot of time together. We still do a lot together as a family. We have a very normal, sisterly relationship. We're very close."

Veteran British actress Jean Alexander is "out of danger" following a terrifying health scare. The former star of U.K. soap opera Coronation Street sparked fears among fans on Monday (23Jun14) when she fell ill and was admitted to a hospital in Southport, England.
Her brother, Kenneth Hodgkinson, has now confirmed the 88 year old is out of hospital and is recovering in a rehabilitation centre.
He says, "We don't think it is serious, she is getting on very well. She has left the hospital now and is in rehabilitation, a home, just for a week or so. I can't give a definite medical statement because I haven't got it... It looks as if she won't be kept for long under medical supervision. I've heard from the people there, in the home, that she is quite cheerful and she feels alright. So whatever it is it would appear that she has passed through it reasonably well. She seems reasonably chirpy and not in danger."
Hodgkinson goes on to reveal his sister asked him to thank fans for their well wishes, adding, "She is very grateful for all the interest shown by the public in her... She realises people may want to send cards, but she would be glad if she is not flooded with flowers or chocolates or things like that."

Actor Stephen Baldwin has dodged a legal bullet after failing to appear in court on Monday (16Jun14) to face unlicensed driving charges. The Usual Suspects star was due to appear in a New York court on aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree and unlicensed driving charges stemming from an arrest last month (May14), but he was unable to attend the hearing because he was in Toronto, Canada on a contractually-obligated promotional tour for 2047 - Sights of Death.
His lawyer asked the judge overseeing the case to "stay" a bench warrant to allow his client "time to come in", insisting Baldwin would be there on Wednesday (18Jun14).
Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Alexander Tisch granted Richard Southard's request and ordered the actor to appear in court later this week, according to the New York Daily News.

Jason Biggs has risked upsetting his American Pie co-star Tara Reid again by poking fun at her body in a webcast. The actor was forced to apologise to Reid last year (13) when she targeted him on Twitter.com for calling her a "hot mess" during a TV interview, and now he's having fun at her expense again.
During a recently taped edition of Joan Rivers' web show, In Bed With Joan, Biggs was asked who he would save and who he would kill if he was stranded with Reid and Lindsay Lohan. He replied, "Lindsay Lohan stays. She's got nice boobs. She really does. Lindsay's got nice boobs. Tara's body, I don't know what's going on with it. I don't think she ever knows what's going on with it... No one knows what's going on with Tara's body."
The comment appeared to be a dig at Reid's plastic surgery enhancements. The actress is sure to respond - after Biggs poked fun at her on Watch What Happens Live last year (13), she tweeted, "@JasonBiggs it's really sad I just landed in LA and the first thing I read about you that you are calling me a hot mess. I've supported u!"
Biggs later tweeted, "@TaraReid I love u Tara, it was a joke! Didnt (sic) mean to offend, Totally kidding around! it was a game!"
