The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins is selling off his old stage outfits to benefit a British animal charity. Among the items the rocker has put up for sale on auction website eBay.com are a pair of Dolce & Gabbana silk trousers.
Announcing the clear-out on Twitter.com, the I Believe in a Thing Called Love singer writes, "I still love these outfits but I’m not going to wear them again!"
Hawkins plans to donate half the proceeds to animal welfare charity The Mayhew Animal Home.
Rockers The Darkness have parted ways with longtime drummer Ed Graham. The musician appeared on all three of the reunited group's albums, including 2012's Hot Cakes, but the band has revealed he won't be a part of its upcoming fourth release.
A statement reads: "Sadly, we're no longer working with Ed. For various reasons, we have all decided to move on. We love Ed and we wish him happiness. We'll introduce you to our new drummer very soon."
Graham co-founded the band and regrouped with brothers Justin and Dan Hawkins and bassist Frankie Poullain when they reformed after a split in 2011.
The band has updated its Facebook.com page with an image of the drummer and the caption "Ed Graham, thank you".
No further details about his departure have been released.
