Seasons may change and New Girl may be back from its winter hiatus, but not all of us are about that forward motion. Most of the loft crew spend the episode stuck in Nick's bar and stuck in the past. Jess (Zooey Deschanel) has 20 minutes to decide if she wants to leave her classroom (now an alge-bio-civics class) for a fundraising job at the museum, and she solicits questionable advice from her staid friends. The flashbacks and everyone-in-one-room dynamic led to a pretty amusing episode, in spite of a really random usage of "Gangsta's Paradise." Let's recap our favorite lines from "Clavado en un Bar."
On a fine scotch.Schmidt: "A note of cedar, vanilla, toback-y, hunting, shooting, fishing, fatherhood, bonding, sadness ... please don't leave me."
On soliciting a second opinion.Jess: "You beautiful sons of bitches are gonna help me!"
On the joys of always having a stopwatch on your person.Coach: "I'm sorry you're in such a pickle. But I'm not sorry I get to time something!"
On not being the MVP of his Latvian basketball team.Wintson, with blue cheetah hair: "The outdoor league? Man, they play on a hillside."
On being a 31-year-old model.Cece: "My last job was a phone sex commercial. And I was the one calling."
On the pecking order in socially progressive schools.Jessica: "Yeah, that's right. We have an ethnic, gay bully."
On the American Girls Baseball League.Kevin '97, singing: "This used to be my playground ..."
On Christmas tree sales strategies.Schmidt: "Let me put you in a spruce today."
And finally, on the actual oldest profession.Jess: "Don’t be hard on Nick. He has a non-traditional career."Nick: "Or maybe it’s the most traditional. I may be thinking of prostitution."
Artists were tasked with turning the lists into illustrations and paintings to be auctioned at auction house Sotheby's in London next month (Dec12) to raise funds for the Museum of British Illustration.
Famed children's book illustrator Quentin Blake depicted David Walliams swimming while his supermodel wife Lara Stone stands on the riverbank with a stopwatch surrounded by spaghetti, pyjamas and their dog Bert chewing on a shoe.
Lee Curtis picked cereal with milk, clogs and a black T-shirt by fashion designer Jil Sander while British author/journalist Jeremy Paxman chose Evelyn Waugh's novel Decline and Fall and Bollito Misto, an Italian dish of boiled meats.
The 30 Rock star is convinced his first marriage, to actress Kim Basinger, was put under immense strain because of their busy work schedules, and he wants his second union to be "different".
Baldwin married yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas in June (12) and he has vowed to make her his first priority.
He tells Total Film magazine, "I want it to be different. When I was younger, I was married to a woman who was very successful.
"When you're both in the business, you both know that you're going to light one film off the other. It's like chain smoking. You just have to do one after the other. You sense that this isn't right, you have this daunting, overwhelming, overarching priority that takes you away for long periods at a time.
"Now I'm with someone who's not in the business and I would like to have a different life this time, have it be more normal."
He adds of his marriage to Basinger, which ended in 2002, "If you took a stopwatch and a calendar and you mapped out how much time you really got to spend that was private and real, it's startlingly little... You put a lot of energy into... your work.
"You do the best you can at the time, but a marriage has to be a priority."
Royal photographer Ian Pelham-Turner was granted seven minutes with the late Princess Diana, Prince Charles and their first-born son in 1982, but the candid snapshots were lost shortly after a selection were used in the British press.
The snapper gave up on ever finding the family shots he had taken - but they were discovered amid a haul of his photos in a Fleet Street basement in London.
He explains, "Recently I get a call from an agent to say he's found 10 boxes in the cellar of this building and can we come and pick them up or else they're gonna throw them in the skip (trash).
"We find a space for them and we put them into storage."
And, in among the collection was one very special carrier bag full of celebrity shots.
Pelham-Turner adds, "My business partner tips open the bag and out falls Diana, out falls William (pictures)."
The shots were unveiled as part of Pelham-Turner's appearance on U.S. news show Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday (26Apr11), and he admits they brought back great memories.
He explains, "In those days you weren't allowed to direct them (royal family) in any way, you weren't allowed to talk to them... They sat down on set and that was it. No interaction at all.
"There's a lackey with a stopwatch and as soon as they sat down, on went the stopwatch."
And he reveals Princess Diana and Prince Charles both competed to land the "front page" photo: "Who would get the front page photograph with the child? There was a lot of anxiety.
"I could see the look on Charles' face - not best pleased; so then he picks William up and puts him on his knee... and starts tickling the tummy of William... Who's gonna get the best baby smile wins the day."
Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz exchanged vows in an intimate wedding ceremony on Saturday evening, their spokesperson has confirmed.
The top-secret event was held at Simpson's parents' home in Encino, California, and was attended by 150 guests, including Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, actor Donald Faison and the pop star's big sister Jessica, who served as maid of honor.
Jessica's boyfriend, football player Tony Romo, was also present at the ceremony, despite reports the couple has split.
Ashlee wore an ivory lace Monique Lhuillier gown, complete with a diamond necklace and earrings by Neil Lane.
Father of the bride Joe Simpson, a former Baptist minister, performed the non-denominational service, and Fall Out Boy bassist Wentz's English bulldog, Hemingway, was the ring-bearer, reports People.com.
Confirming the reports on Saturday night, the couple's representative says, "We're delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends."
The newlyweds celebrated their new status as husband and wife with an Alice in Wonderland-themed reception, with black beauty roses by Mark's Garden decorating each table. The wedding cake, by Sam Godfrey of Perfect Endings, featured a top hat, a teapot, a stopwatch and a pot of flowers on top.
The marriage comes amid rumors that Ashlee is pregnant with the couple's first child. Both stars, who have been dating since 2006, have repeatedly dodged questions surrounding the alleged pregnancy, refusing to confirm or deny the reports.
