One Direction star Zayn Malik has reportedly bought a house for his future mother-in-law ahead of his wedding to pop singer Perrie Edwards. The boyband heart-throb has cemented his relationship with his soon-to-be in-laws by purchasing a home for the Little Mix star's mother Debbie. The property is said to be located in Dorset, England and worth around $400,000 (£250,000).
A source tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "Perrie was going to get the mortgage for her (Debbie), then Zayn offered to buy it outright. He's a really nice chap."
Malik became engaged to Edwards last summer (13).
Actors Daniel Craig, Benicio Del Toro and Steve Carell have joined U.S. President Barack Obama in an advertising campaign against sexual assault. The James Bond heart-throb is one of the celebrities starring in the public service announcement, in which men are urged to stand up to sexual violence.
In the White House-backed commercial, Del Toro says, "If she doesn't consent or if she can't consent, it's rape. It's assault," and Carrell adds, "It's a crime. It's wrong."
U.S. Vice President Joe Biden and talk show host Seth Meyers also join the campaign, which encourages men to speak up and become "a part of the solution" against sexual violence.
Former The O.C. star Ben Mckenzie is heading back to TV after landing the lead role in a new Batman spin-off. The former small screen heart-throb, who found fame opposite Mischa Barton in the teen drama, has signed up to play James Gordon, a police rookie who later rises to the rank of commissioner, in new superhero show Gotham.
The show will be based around the character and his police career before the emergence of Batman.
Commissioner Gordon has previously been portrayed by Neil Hamilton in the 1960s series about the Caped Crusader, while Pat Hingle played him in four films from 1989's Batman until 1997's Batman & Robin.
Gary Oldman most recently portrayed Gordon in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight film trilogy.
British actress Karen Gillan felt so relaxed shooting nude scenes for a new movie, she forgot she was naked. The former Doctor Who star plays a novelist in romantic comedy Not Another Happy Ending and she has recalled how she forgot she had stripped off as the crew members were so professional on set.
She says, "I was really nervous beforehand, naturally I knew I'd have to sit there all day without anything on. Actually it was fine, they strategically covered me up with flesh coloured bits of material and also it was a closed set so there wasn't loads of crew guys walking around.
"Everyone was just very respectful and by the end I'd forgotten I didn't have any clothes on."
French heart-throb Stanley Weber co-stars in the film, which is due for release in the U.K. on Friday (11Oct13).
British actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Emma Watson have been voted the world's sexiest movie stars. The Star Trek Into Darkness actor gained top spot in the 50 hottest males of the moment poll conducted by Empire Online, coming ahead of The Avengers star Tom Hiddleston, who took second place, and Man of Steel heart-throb Henry Cavill in third.
Harry Potter actress Watson earned the sexiest female movie star title, beating Scarlett Johansson in second and The Hunger Games favourite Jennifer Lawrence in third.
Other stars who featured high in the charts include Bradley Cooper, Ryan Gosling, Mila Kunis and Angelina Jolie.
James Dyer, editor of Empire Online, says, "It's a great result for British stars, but what's clear is that it's less important to have lots of casual fans and better to have a dedicated hard-core. The Cumberbabes, Hiddlestoners, Twi-hards and Cavilliers all made their opinions heard!"
Actor Chris Hemsworth was out of his comfort zone playing motor racing ace James Hunt in new movie Rush as he hates driving fast. The Australian heart-throb steps into the Formula 1 legend's shoes in the film, which tells the story of Hunt's track battles with his arch rival Niki Lauda in their 1970s heyday.
But the role was a tough one for Hemsworth to pull off - he hates travelling at speed and even urges his wife, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, to slow down when she is at the wheel.
Hemsworth tells British magazine Seven, "(Our car) has a babyseat and surfboard in the back, it's a pretty mellow thing. I go, 'Slow down, what's the rush, there's a red light.' She says, 'Shut up, when did you become a driving instructor?'"
One Direction have been ordered to hold off on partying after the London premiere of their new movie to avoid causing chaos in the U.K. capital. Around 70,000 fans are expected to show up to see the boyband walk the red carpet on Tuesday (20Aug13), before unveiling This Is Us at a theatre in Leicester Square, where hundreds of youngsters have been camping out ahead of their arrival.
In a bid to control the crowds, a spokesperson for Westminster Council has urged devotees to check out the action online, saying, "We are obviously encouraging people, if they can, to watch it (the premiere) from home."
Meanwhile, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles have been advised not to hold an afterparty - because it could cause a frenzy among fans attempting to follow the heart-throb singers.
Horan explains, "The 'after show police' have been trying to stop us doing anything because there'll be so many fans trying to get in. We were told that up to 70,000 fans could come along to the premiere. It will shut central London down."
Metropolitan Police bosses insist "appropriate plans are in place" for the much anticipated event.
A man has been arrested over allegations he posed as One Direction star Harry Styles to con girls into performing sex acts on a webcam. John Eastman, 45, is accused of using videocall service Skype to contact youngsters while pretending to be the heart-throb British singer.
It is alleged Eastman adopted the name "Harry.Styles888" and used photos of the One Direction star to convince girls as young as five that he was the pop singer, before offering them tickets to the band's concerts if they would strip on camera or perform a sex act.
He was arrested on Wednesday (29May13) in Connecticut and was arraigned on Thursday (30May13) on charges including employing a minor in an obscene performance. He is being held on a $500,000 (£322,000) bond.
Have you ever tried to have a conversation with a dog? It probably sounded a lot like a monologue while the pooch just sat there and stared at you or walked away while you were mid-sentence. Usually dogs don't have that much to say. But not Uggie, the star of last year's Best Picture winner The Artist. He has a lot to bark about. In his new memoir, Uggie: My Story, the famous Jack Russell Terrier — who has also put his paw print on Water for Elephants and Mr. Fix It — reveals what life is like to be a dog in the industry. We recently sat down with the productive pooch to find out everything about his road to stardom.
First and foremost, all dogs must have a bitch — and, for Uggie, that special woman is his Water for Elephants costar, Reese Witherspoon. In the book, Uggie dishes on what it was like to kiss the famous beauty. "I have a big crush on her," he admits to us.
For Water for Elephants, Uggie also got to work with heart-throb-alicious Twilight star Robert Pattinson (or "Bobby" as Uggie likes to call him). Unlike all of the teen girls out there, Uggie didn't get starstruck when he hung out with Pattinson on set. “He was very, very cool," Uggie says. "He was really down to earth." And Uggie makes it a point to let Pattinson's fans know that when it comes a skateboarding competition, well, Pattinson is no rival. "Robert cannot skateboard as good as I do, but I really like him," Uggie barks (though Uggie did get jealous when Pattinson got to kiss Witherspoon).
But these aren't the only achievements Uggie has under his belt. In February, Uggie was named Best Dog in the Theatrical World at the first-ever Golden Collar Awards. Even though he has since semi-retired from feature film-making, Uggie still craves the attention that comes with being a big star. "It's just been a roller coaster," he says. "But I really enjoy it. I love attention and to come out to places and do interviews."
And now that Uggie has a little more time on his hands, he plans to use it wisely. "I will promote my book so everybody knows about my great story," he says. "And we're going out to hospitals and all kinds of places to entertain people."
Still want to hear more about what the dog celeb has to say? Check out our silent interview with Uggie below!

He saw off competition from another British star, Thor's Tom Hiddleston, who came second, ahead of Hollywood heart-throb Johnny Depp at three.
The top five is rounded out by Michael Fassbender in fourth and Sherlock actor Benedict Cumberbatch in fifth place, while other stars who made the top 10 include Robert Downey, Jr. and Twilight's Taylor Lautner.
