Model and actress Sophie Monk is stepping down from her role as a co-host on one of Australia's biggest breakfast radio shows after just one year on air. The blonde beauty joined former Spice Girls star Melanie Brown and longrunning DJs Merrick Watts and Jules Lund on Sydney's 2DayFM last year (13), but she has since decided to walk away from the job once her one-year contract comes to an end.
Her management representative tells Sydney's Daily Telegraph, "We gave notice on Sophie's behalf recently after she carefully re-evaluated her position on the breakfast team.
"She has enjoyed the role but felt she needed to move on and seek new challenges."
Monk's exit comes just three months after Brown also quit the radio show.
MTV has created a new show where they put 10 guys and 11 girls (in this season, at least) in a house together, in Puerto Rico, and tell them to find their perfect match, because they're literally right in front of them. It's the second season of Are You The One, with new cast members and every crazier situations! There was a broken nose in the first episode, and it didn't even happen during a fight. Have you not tuned in yet? Let's go a little more into why you should, now that we're 3 episodes deep in the series.
1. The shows concept is intriguing. It's something we haven't seen in another reality series.
"If you're perfect match was standing right in front of you, would you even know?" Really though, if you think about it, if you were put in a house with someone who could be your perfect match, how would you figure it out? Would you be able to? It's interesting to watch couples like Paris and Pratt who immediately consider themselves matches get together, while other people like Ellie aren't quick to jump into anything. As she said last night, "I just don’t believe you can fall in love in a week. You need to know what someones farts smell like."
2. But they've only got 10 weeks to figure things out.
I take #AreYouTheOne real serious. Got my handy dandy spreadsheet pic.twitter.com/1cdZpuLQl8

10 weeks, 10 tries, all for love...and a shot at $1 million (to split between 20, that is). Week 3 showed us some progress, bringing in 3 matches, one more than tlast week's 2 matches. But they're no closer to knowing who those perfect matches actually are. Maybe the guys should stop leaving Tyler out and consider her. Looks like in episode four the group will need to learn a new strategy, and if that preview is anything to go from, things will be pretty intense.
3. The things people will admit on this show are extremely hilarious.
Oh jeeeeepers @Pratt_MTV come on bruh #AreYouTheOne pic.twitter.com/qYb4m6WeRn
— Jenni MTV (@jenniknapmiller) October 21, 2014
To add onto that thought, Pratt also said: “I’ve taken a girl’s virginity before, and she didn’t leave my apartment for three weeks.” That's not even the half of it. Everyone on this show is having so much fun partying, you don't even realize just how much they've had to drink until they start droppng the truth bombs. Or, you know right away when someone has had too much, because that's when the fights start. Que Natahan crying over Shelby, while a very sweet Pratt tries to get him to calm down.
4. The Truth Booth is the best part of each episode.
Hey @Tindel10 and @MTV_Christina. Ever get the feeling you're being watched? #AreYouTheOne pic.twitter.com/Zrb64u7jPC
— Ryan Malaty (@ryanmalaty) October 17, 2014
The Truth Booth is where couples go to find out if they're a "perfect match." But you don't get to decide on your own if you're going to the TB. You need to be voted into there, after winning the most recent challenge, by your housemates. It's easily the most stress-inducing part of each episode, which makes it the most interesting for viewers. Every week, you sit there shouting at your screen, telling them "NO! Not Brandon AGAIN!" But then, it's actually funny to watch Brandon go into the truth booth, for the 3rd time in a row.
5. The competition between some of the men is just starting to HEAT UP.
OUCH. #AreYouTheOne pic.twitter.com/IgJHFcBcRH
— Are You The One? (@AREUTHE1) October 21, 2014
Nathan wants Shelby, but Shelby wants Dario, but kind of wanted Nathan, that is until he freaked out. And that's only 3 people, there are still 18 other people in this house. What's going on with Pratt and Paris next episode? Or Jenni-Anthony-Jess-Layton? There's so much drama, you can't fathom how it's all packed into a 60-minute episode. It leaves you craving more.

Stephen Collins' personal website has been taken offline as the actor continues to face accusations of child molestation. The former 7th Heaven star, 67, has yet to break his silence over allegations he acted inappropriately with three young girls over a decade ago after appearing to confess to the sick crimes during a 2012 therapy session, which was secretly taped by his estranged wife, Faye Grant.
The accusations are currently being investigated by police in New York and Los Angeles.
The fall out from the scandal has already cost Collins roles in the upcoming Ted movie sequel and TV drama Scandal, while he was dropped by his talent representatives at the Agency for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California last week (ends10Oct14).
Now his own website StephenCollins.com has gone dark. The site's home page, which previously detailed his career, has since been replaced by a black screen with a notice which reads, "THIS SITE CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE (sic)".
Stephen Collins' talent agency bosses have dropped the former 7Th Heaven star just days after the release of a recording in which the actor purportedly admits to molesting three young girls. Collins' representative at the Agency for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills has confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter the company has severed ties to the actor amid the scandal.
Earlier this week (beg06Oct14) the star was fired from the Ted sequel and lost a recurring role in TV drama Scandal. Meanwhile, syndicated reruns of his show 7th Heaven have been pulled from the UPTV and TV Guide networks in America.
Collins also resigned from the Screen Actors Guild board.
The recording, which appears to feature Collins' voice, was released by TMZ.com on Tuesday (06Oct14). Reports suggest the actor's wife taped the conversation during a therapy session in 2012 without her husband's knowledge.
Former abuse victim Rosie O'Donnell has been left "shocked and heartbroken" by the child molestation accusations filed against her longtime pal Stephen Collins, admitting she is "scared" by her inability to spot an alleged predator. The actor, who played a minister on TV show 7th Heaven, hit headlines earlier this week (begs06Oct14) when audio footage purportedly featuring Collins confessing to inappropriately touching three young girls during a secretly-recorded therapy session with his wife in 2012 surfaced online.
Authorities have subsequently confirmed he is under police investigation after a New York woman filed a formal complaint about his reported advances when she was a kid.
Now O'Donnell is speaking out about the scandal, insisting she is stunned by the news.
Discussing the accusations on her U.S. talk show The View on Thursday (09Oct14), she said, "(I'm) shocked and heartbroken. I think, like anyone here who knows someone who's been accused of sexual abuse of children, it devastates everyone in the radius of that person, because it's a shocking allegation and you know, for me, I always have my antenna up, in a way for that, having had a childhood with that (sexual abuse), and I never in a million years (would have suspected Collins)... That's the thing that scared me the most..."
The A League of Their Own actress admits she always held Collins in high regard, comparing him to family man and Little House on the Prairie star Michael Landon.
She continued, "In my opinion he's the Michael Landon of this generation; he always plays the wholesome, wonderful, loving, caring guy, and in real life, is that (a suspected paedophile), and... it is so unbelievably, kind of, hard (to accept)."
O'Donnell insists she has no doubt of the authenticity of the tape, which was recorded by his estranged wife Faye Grant without his knowledge, adding, "I can say, as somebody who knows him, it sounds an awful lot like him, or it's a really good impersonator, so to hear his actual voice saying the things that he had done, was horrific and terrifying."
Meanwhile, O'Donnell's The View co-host Whoopi Goldberg has also expressed her dismay at the allegations after working with Collins on 1986 film Jumpin' Jack Flash.
She added, "You never know who you're walking down the street with, you never know sometimes who you're sleeping with; it's kind of wild (crazy)."
Meghan Trainor's All About That Bass leads a record-breaking week for women at the top of the U.S. pop charts. Girl power rules the Billboard Hot 100 top five for a fifth consecutive week - the only time leading ladies have kept the guys out of the top spots for more than four weeks in a row since the chart began in 1956.
Trainor's hit leads the all-female top five for the fifth week running, while Taylor Swift's former number one, Shake It Off, stays put at two and Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora's Black Widow rises a spot to three.
Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj's Bang Bang and Minaj's Anaconda round out the top five.
The previous best run for women on the Hot 100 came in 1999 when songs by Monica, Britney Spears, Deborah Cox, Cher, Brandy, Whitney Houston and Sarah McLachlan dominated the countdown for four weeks running.
This week also marks just the 11th week in the Hot 100's history that men have been shut out of the top five.
Stephen Collins' lawyer has accused the actor's estranged wife Faye Grant of leaking an audio tape which allegedly features him confessing to molesting girls.
The former 7th Heaven actor made headlines on Tuesday (07Oct14) when a secretly-taped conversation was published which appeared to show him allegedly admitting to abusing three young girls more than a decade ago. The audio, posted on TMZ.com, was reportedly recorded by Grant in 2012 at a therapy session and the actress insists she was not behind the leak, telling E! News, "I had no involvement whatsoever". However, Collins' lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan has now accused Grant of using the tape to try to leverage more money from the star during their divorce proceedings.
He tells TMZ.com, "Over the course of my representation of Stephen in the divorce case, Faye has repeatedly threatened to give this audiotape to the media unless Stephen agreed to pay her millions of dollars more than that to which she was legally entitled. "When these demands were rebuffed, Faye attempted - without success - to peddle the tape in numerous ways to numerous different people. It appears that she has finally found an audience for this tape - not surprisingly, on the eve of the trial in the divorce case where, again, she is seeking millions of dollars more than that to which she is legally entitled."
Kaplan adds, "Though we would like to address the tape itself, the circumstances dictate that we must regrettably refrain from doing so at this time."
Police officers in New York are investigating Collins after they received a complaint from a local woman about his alleged advances when she was a child. The Los Angeles Police Department closed their investigation into the molestation claims in 2012 but are "revisiting" the case in light of the new information. The 67-year-old actor has since been dropped from the cast of Ted 2 and has resigned from the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild.
Actress Faye Grant has distanced herself from the leak of an incriminating audio recording which allegedly features her estranged husband Stephen Collins confessing to molesting three young girls over a decade ago. The former 7th Heaven actor was allegedly caught making the comments during a therapy session with Grant back in 2012. She reportedly recorded the conversation without Collins' knowledge and handed it over to Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officials to investigate.
However, cops closed the case shortly afterwards because there was "no verified victim".
The audio footage went public on Tuesday (07Oct14), when editors at TMZ.com published the recording and reported on the allegations, but Grant, who is in the midst of divorcing Collins, insists she had nothing to do with the leak.
In a statement released to Eonline.com, she writes, "I woke up today to learn that an extremely private recording I handed over to the authorities in 2012, per their request in connection with a criminal investigation, was recently disseminated to the press.
"I had no involvement whatsoever with the release of the tape to the media."
Collins is currently under investigation by New York authorities after they received a complaint from a local woman about the 67 year old's alleged conduct when she was a child.
Meanwhile, LAPD detectives have confirmed they are "revisiting" their 2012 investigations in light of the new accusations to determine if they "missed anything" two years ago, reports TMZ.
Collins has yet to comment about the claims, but the scandal has already cost him a small role in the Ted sequel, and he has also reportedly resigned from the National Board of the Screen Actors Guild, and been removed from the website for the Committee For Stress-Free Schools, where he serves as co-director.
Executives at UP TV in the U.S. have also pulled 7th Heaven from its programming schedule in light of media reports surrounding Collins.
UP's CEO Charley Humbard says, "As a top family-friendly network, we are deeply concerned for the families that are potentially affected by these disturbing allegations surrounding actor Stephen Collins... 7th Heaven has been a beloved family show and a fan-favourite on our network. We have made the decision to remove the series from our schedule effective today. We will continue to monitor the situation and listen carefully to our viewers."
New York police officials are investigating reports suggesting actor Stephen Collins was recorded allegedly admitting to molesting young girls. The former 7th Heaven star has become the target of a probe, and New York Police Department officers have been dispatched to Los Angeles to interview his estranged wife, actress Faye Grant, according to TMZ.com, the website which posted the audio on Tuesday (07Oct14).
A representative for the NYPD reveals an investigation into "inappropriate sexual contact with minors" is ongoing, while a spokesman tells The Hollywood Reporter, "There is a formal complaint on file, and the incident is being investigated by the Manhattan Special Victims Squad."
Collins, 67, had yet to comment on the story as WENN went to press.
The audio was reportedly recorded by Grant during a therapy session in 2012 without the actor's knowledge.
In the recording, the man whose voice is identified as Collins' admits to having inappropriate sexual contact with three young girls, one of which is said to be a relative of his first wife, Marjorie Weinman.
Grant and Collins are in the process of getting a divorce.
Singer Selena Gomez's former onscreen uncle struggles to watch his one-time co-star perform onstage and in videos because he hates the way she has been sexualised. Curb Your Enthusiasm star Jeff Garlin played Uncle Kelbo opposite the Come & Get It singer in hit Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place, and admits he became close to the young star.
The funnyman tells The Huffington Post, "I worked with her for three years, and I love her. She is, at least in terms of what I saw, a great kid, but then I see her sexualised...
"I look at her, and I look at this Ariana Grande... both beautiful girls, but they have baby fat! They look like kids!"
And Garlin admits he had a hard time watching his former TV niece in her racy 2012 film Spring Breakers, adding, "I'm by myself in the theatre, and I couldn't have felt dirtier... I see the thing, but I see those chubby cheeks. She's a kid. This is disgusting that it's happening so young."
