The model who was photographed partying with Justin Bieber shortly before his DUI arrest in Miami, Florida last month (Jan14) has opened up about her relationship with the singer, insisting they are just friends. Chantel Jeffries, 21, made headlines when she was photographed sitting next to the Baby hitmaker in the same Lamborghini he was pulled over in by police on 23 January (14).
She then fuelled rumours of a romance with the 19 year old when she jetted off to Panama to join him for a beach-side vacation after he was released on bail.
Jeffries has now spoken out about her connection to the star in a candid interview with E! News on Tuesday (25Feb14).
When asked whether she had ever kissed Bieber, Jeffries responded, "We're friends. Do you kiss your friends?... Do you sleep in the same bed as your friends?"
Jeffries insisted could not give details about the night of Bieber's arrest due to "legal reasons," but insisted he is a "good person" and is the victim of "misconceptions".
She adds of the post-arrest Panama trip, "He was just happy to be out (of jail)... I think he just wanted to get away and have some fun, probably thinking Panama would be a place there wouldn't be so much attention."
R&B star Chris Brown has accused his former manager of leaking songs from his forthcoming album. The Kiss Kiss hitmaker took to his Twitter.com blog on Sunday (23Feb14) to take aim at Tina Davis, claiming she was to blame for a handful of tracks, including a tune called B**ches, surfacing online without his permission.
He raged, "My old manager is leaking my NEW album music and refuses to give me my back up hard drive to sabotage my album. That's F'd up G (sic)!"
His angry tweet prompted Davis to fire back at the allegations and urge him to prove her innocence by instructing bosses at his record label to find out who was really responsible for the illegal uploads.
She responded, "@chrisbrown Trace it! Find out where it originated from... RCA can do that for you. Then send a defaming tweet out on who really did it."
Brown did not reply to that message, but subsequently deleted his initial accusation and replaced it with the tweet: "Snakes in the grass..... Just stay positive".
Brown parted ways with Davis earlier this year (14) after she helped to guide him to fame at the start of his career.
The singer completed his 90-day court-ordered stay in anger management treatment last week (ends21Feb14) and celebrated his freedom by announcing plans for his new album, simply titled X, to hit retailers in May (14).
Actor Josh Brolin has sparked rumours he is dating his personal assistant Kathryn Boyd after the two were photographed kissing in Italy over the weekend (22-23Feb14). The No Country for Old Men star is in Rome filming Everest and on Sunday (23Feb14) the pair were spotted at the Trevi Fountain landmark, where they embraced and shared a kiss.
Brolin split from actress Diane Lane last year (13). The couple wed in 2004.
His representatives have yet to comment on the apparent new romance.
The battle between Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes has degraded into the question: Who deserves to be blasted into the sun more rapidly? Last season, NeNe was above it all. With her NBC series The New Normal canceled, she’s back to stirring up drama with everyone. On the flip side, Kenya is getting an A+ in NeNe 101. She puts everyone on blast, runs into all the drama, and eeks by with a little likability. But it’s kind of like NeNe 1.0 vs. NeNe 2.0. Kenya and the new NeNe do not have half the appeal of vintage Sheree-hating NeNe. Also, this new NeNe is starting to say things that can offend her gay following. As an honorary queen, you should never use queen in the negative.
NeNe and Gregg are recapping the fight with Peter Thomas. So are Cynthia Bailey and Malorie Massie. There really should be a name for the part of a Bravo series where people restate the obvious. Let’s call it she-hashing. This is the least enjoyable part of watching Bravo. To add insult to injury, Kenya meets with Marlo Hampton to replay everything, too. These she-caps never tell us anything new and are never honest. The real story is, as alpha, NeNe must attack anyone who challenges her. But, she needs to be well liked and invited to everything. Cynthia needs NeNe to be her best friend to stay on the show. Kenya needs attention. The only interesting things that happen in the first 10 minutes are Gregg’s toilet seat mug and a well-timed Zoolander reference.
Cynthia has a Jamaican themed surprise party for Peter, even though he was planning on not coming. She even goes out of her way to hire a Jamaican band... made up of two white guys. NeNe arrives believing she’s well behaved but strolls in with a side-eye that could blind her. Marlo tries to mend fences but her friendship with Kenya is what’s really getting NeNe steamed. Round 1 between Kenya and NeNe begins. On the one hand, Kenya was manipulative in trying to force a public détente with NeNe. But NeNe can never be bullied and is manipulative in her own right. She masterminds a ton of the drama on the show. She blames Kenya for the fight but she brought everyone with issues into one room, with little clothing, and tons of alcohol. Is the beef between NeNe and Kenya really about Kenya planning the Bravo-funded trip? Why can’t they just admit Bravo’s paying and they just pick a location?
Cynthia’s Ratchet Bowl arrives. It seems like an excuse to wear matching T-shirts. Peter must own a print shop. NeNe has all of her bridesmaids on her team except for Marlo. Marlo joins Kenya’s team and tries to confront NeNe about it. She is nothing but friendly but NeNe flings a bottle of water at her. NeNe storms off and Marlo follows her yapping and jumping up and down. This is starting to degrade into a bad movie: The Lesser of Two Evils.
Salty Lines from the Episode
"Yes, I pretty much stalked her to come. But if I would have known she was gonna come and give us Silence of the Lambs. Me and my little wig would have just let her be, child." –Cynthia on pushing NeNe to attend Kenya’s ball
"She was modeling the whole time… with her face twisted… I don’t know if it was supposed to be Zoolander or what." –Kenya on NeNe’s entrance into a party.
"Women are the ones that gossip, and tote messages and hoppin’ in each other’s face. So in my opinion, Peter was giving me b**ch-assness." –NeNe
"I left NayNay downstairs. Didn’t want to leave her in the car. She might get cold." –NeNe channeling Drop Dead Fred
"Well hello, Solid Gold!" –Kandi reading Kenya’s outfit
NeNe: "Who’s that?" (about Kenya)Porsha: "You just got honored by her the other night." –Best inadvertent read of the episode
"I want Kenya to understand that I am not the one to play with. You want to play these games with the rest of these girls, that’s fine… but I am not the one. I’m not the one."–NeNe’s open letter to Morpheus from The Matrix
"Kandi is late. Cynthia should have told her we were going to start yesterday." –NeNe
"Team Kandi, y’all that came in late and now you’re causing ruckus." –Derek J
"You have to kiss her ass to be her friend. And go get that f**king Donald Trump hair redone." –Marlo taunting NeNe
The man who accused Chris Brown and a bodyguard of beating him up outside a Washington, D.C. hotel last year (13) has filed a civil suit against the embattled singer in a bid to recover his medical costs. Parker Isaac Adams will face Brown in court in April (14) after the Kiss Kiss hitmaker pleaded not guilty to assault charges in October (13).
The singer and his bodyguard were arrested after the incident, and Brown was initially charged with a felony; the counts were later reduced to a misdemeanour.
He reportedly fought with Adams after he approached the star and asked if he could take a photograph with the singer, and when Brown refused, Adams tried to insert himself into a picture that the singer had been taking with two other people. Adams alleged that Brown punched him in the face, fracturing his nose.
Brown maintains Adams was attempting to board his tour bus when the altercation took place.
Following his arrest, Brown checked himself into rehab to seek help for his anger issues, but he was asked to leave two weeks later after allegedly throwing a rock through his mother's car window during an argument. A judge ordered him to spend another 90 days in rehab later that month (Nov13).
Meanwhile, as a result of the drama, the parole Brown had been serving as a result of his 2009 assault on Rihanna was revoked; he was ordered to complete his rehab and do community service.
Veteran actor/singer Mandy Patinkin was treated to a double blast from the past during a recent appearance on U.S. TV after he was reunited with two of his ex-girlfriends. The Homeland star had previously been surprised by Live with Kelly and Michael hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan, when they read out an email from the girl who he shared his first kiss with during his last visit to their morning show in December (13).
And when he recently returned to Live with Kelly and Michael for a pre-taped interview, which aired on Wednesday (19Feb14), he revealed that his plan to meet Sandy, his first love, had yet to come to fruition.
He explained, "The minute I left here, I got in the car... and I called her up and we just started gasbagging (chatting) on the phone... And then we were going to get together but she moved to Texas... I'll be in Texas (soon) so then we'll get to see each other."
The actor was left shocked when the planned reunion took place then and there, as Sandy waled out onstage to greet the star 40 years after they last saw one another.
Patinkin exclaimed, "Oh my God! Oh my God!" and embraced his childhood sweetheart.
But Ripa and Strahan weren't finished with the surprises - they prompted Patinkin to share another tale about his failed efforts to track down a college sweetheart, a woman named Lenore 'Nori' Haines from Topeka, Kansas.
He said, "You know when you're about 60 - I'm 61 years old - you just wanna find everybody again!
"Not only have I tried (to find Haines), I have friends from doing the various shows that I've done, from the FBI to the CIA, I have literally called my FBI and CIA connections and I've said, 'Will you hunt this woman down for me?' I don't know if she has a married name, I don't know what happened, but she was a dear friend, I want to find her..."
Looking into the camera, he then made a public plea for Haines to get in touch, but once again, his wish came true immediately, as his lost love appeared before him.
Stunned Patinkin said, "I can't take this! Am I dying or something? What's happening?"
The former lovers reminisced about their time together while attending the University of Kansas and at the end of the chat, Patinkin was given the chance to take both of his exes out on a lunch date as a final treat from Ripa and Strahan.

Vitalii Sediuk managed to evade security at the Californian event and rushed towards The Wolf of Wall Street star, throwing himself to the ground as he wrapped his arms around the stunned actor's legs and nuzzled his face against his crotch.
A confused DiCaprio, who was at the festival to accept the Cinema Vanguard Award with director pal Martin Scorsese, was photographed smiling as bodyguards attempted to free him from Sediuk's grip.
The serial prankster, who poses as a journalist at red carpet events, pulled a similar stunt on Bradley Cooper as he arrived at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles last month (Jan14).
He was slapped by Will Smith at the Russian premiere for Men in Black 3 in 2012, as he tried to kiss the Hollywood star, while he gatecrashed soul star Adele's big Grammy Awards moment last year (13), by running up onstage and grabbing the microphone from presenter Jennifer Lopez.
