Stevie Nicks insists former lover and Fleetwood Mac bandmate Lindsey Buckingham will love her new solo album because half the tracks are about him. The couple had one of the most famous romances in rock and Nicks admits many of the songs that make up 24 Karat Gold: Songs From the Vault were inspired by her feelings for the guitarist.
Nicks will release the record next month (Oct14), a week after she hits the road with Fleetwood Mac, and she is looking forward to hearing what Buckingham thinks about the old songs she has revamped with producer Dave Stewart.
She tells Rolling Stone magazine, "Lindsey will love it (album); half of the songs are about him.
"We have continually written about each other, and we'll probably keep writing about each other until we're dead. We have been through great successes, great misunderstandings, a great musical connection.
"He has more of an appreciation for that now. I think it's because he has two little daughters and a lovely wife, so he's really in Girl World now. He's more aware of a feminine point of view."
"Right now, I'm sort of pleasing myself. A girl has to take care (of herself)... and shockingly enough, I know how to satisfy myself." Sex & The City star Kim Cattrall is still enjoying sex as a single woman.
Jennifer Garner loves her husband Batman buff, insisting no man deserves to look that good all the time. Ben Affleck recently started shooting the Man of Steel sequel, in which he plays the Caped Crusader, and his wife admits she's amazed with how quickly he has transformed into a hot hunk.
She tells Access Hollywood, "He's in crazy, crazy shape. No one deserves to be in the kind of shape that he's in! I am enjoying it very much!"
Told of his wife's remarks at a Gone Girl junket on Monday (29Sep14), the movie star said, "I think she is a woman of very discerning taste!"
The husband and wife will go head to head at the U.S. box office next month (Oct14) - Affleck's Gone Girl hits theatres on Friday (03Oct14) while Garner's Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day opens a week later.
Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson's dad discovered his son was gay and a thief on the same day. The actor admits he had built up quite a collection of stolen gay pornography magazines when he was finally caught trying to leave a store in his native Montana with a backpack pull of saucy publications at the age of 14.
In a recent an interview with Aisha Tyler for her Girl on Guy podcast, the red-faced star revealed, "I always considered that (incident) my coming out... It was so humiliating.
"I had been stealing porn for a while. I had quite a little collection. And I would bring it into the house, and then I'd get nervous, so I'd hide it under the mattress, or I'd hide it behind a shed in the backyard. And then it would get rained on, and I'd have to go get the barbecue tongs to (get it out)."
But when he got caught, he felt awful: "The woman (at the store) asked me if I had anything in my backpack. She was giving me the benefit of the doubt... She took me to the back room (and) they brought my dad in, and they showed him the nature of the material I was stealing, and it was really, really humiliating."
Ferguson admitted his dad took the drama quite well, adding, "(He) was like, 'OK, are you gay?' And I was, like, 14. I didn't really know. I didn't know what I was going through. But then in my later teen years I did come out to him (properly), and it was like he needed to be told three times.
"(When I was 21) he asked me if I had a girlfriend at the time, and I was like, 'Dad! You know I'm gay, right?'"
Ferguson married longtime partner Justin Mikita in New York in July, 2013.
Rocker Stevie Nicks checked in to rehab in the 1980s shortly after writing a song about tragic actress Mabel Normand, who lost her life to drugs. The Fleetwood Mac star admits her own lyrics made her realise that she was walking the same road as the 1920s star.
She tells Billboard, "Mabel was an amazing actress and comedian from the '20s, and she was a terrible cocaine addict. She eventually died of tuberculosis, but it was really her drug addiction that killed her.
"She was in love with a famous director, who tried to get her off coke, and he was murdered. Rumour has it, drug dealers killed him. I saw a documentary of her in 1985, when I was at my lowest point with the blow (cocaine). I was watching TV one night, the movie came on, and I really felt a connection with her. That's when I wrote the song. Less than a year later, I went to rehab at Betty Ford.
"The documentary really scared me, because I saw this beautiful girl go downhill so fast. Sometimes you can't see it in yourself, but you sure as heck can see it in someone else."
Nicks' forgotten 1985 tribute to the late actress, titled Mable Normand, will feature on her new solo album 24 Karat Gold - Songs From The Vault.

Pop superstar Madonna is celebrating after helping to launch a new school in Pakistan, a year after promising to fund the construction of the facility with help from fan donations. The Material Girl hitmaker made the vow onstage at London's The Sound of Change concert last summer (13), when she called on the public to join her Revolution of Love campaign and throw their support behind Pakistani activist Humaira Bachal, who has been fighting for better education for young girls.
Speaking at the 2013 event, Madonna said, "Let's help Humaira build a bigger school in Pakistan! How 'bout this? You build the first floor, I'll build the rest of the school. Let's do this together...!
"I keep telling people that I want to start a revolution. Until you learn to read and write, you can't ask the question why. You can't do this without an education. Education is not a luxury, it is a basic human right."
The singer made good on her pledge and the newly-expanded Dream Model Street School in Karachi opened last week (ends26Sep14).
Madonna, who has been involved in building similar schools in Malawi, shared a photo of the completed building on her Instagram.com page on Sunday (28Sep14) and in the accompanying caption, she wrote, "The Revolution of Love continues in Pakistan! The Dream School is finally finished. 1200 kids attending. Knowledge is Power!"
Walk The Line director James Mangold is heading for a divorce after his wife filed to end the couple's 15-year marriage. Catherine Konrad cited irreconcilable differences for the split.
Editors at TMZ.com report that Konrad is seeking spousal support and joint legal and physical custody of their two sons, aged nine and six.
Mangold's directing credits include Oscar-winning movies Walk the Line and Girl, Interrupted.
Outspoken feminist Germaine Greer has criticised pregnant British royal Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge as "too thin" and urged her not to have any more children. The commentator and author also tells Newsweek magazine that Prince William's wife has a "b**tard of a job".
Her remarks come following news that the pregnant Duchess is battling acute morning sickness, the same condition she struggled with when she was expecting her first child, Prince George.
Greer says, "She is vomiting her guts up and shouldn't have been made to go through all this again so soon.
"It's not so much that she has to be a womb, but she has to be a mother. I would hope after this one she says, 'That's it. No more'... The girl is too thin."
Talking about the Duchess' life, she adds, "She cannot do or say anything spontaneous. She has learned what she has to do and say and how to do and say it in the approved way. Spontaneity will get her in trouble.
"Kate is not even allowed to decorate her own houses. Even the wives of the American presidents get to do that."
"I learned that the way to be with Madonna was to follow her impetus, because the artist in a music video is not only the star but also the studio. I could say to Madonna, 'I need you to do it again. I need you to stop blinking. I need you to get your f**king chin down. And I need you to be better'." Director David Fincher on his dealings with Madonna on the set of her Vogue and Bad Girl videos.
