Accident-prone British TV presenter Richard Hammond was knocked off his motorcycle twice in one month. Hammond, who co-presents hit BBC motoring show Top Gear, told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper how in one incident a driver reversed into his BMW R1200, throwing him to the ground.
He says, "A driver executing a hasty U-turn on a major London road failed to check their mirror... They reversed into me and my bike, knocking us both over."
However, the daredevil presenter managed to turn the shunt to his advantage, adding, "It has given me the opportunity to repair the old thing and re-engage with it financially, showing my appreciation for what a tremendous machine it is."

Rocker Gavin Rossdale's wife Gwen Stefani revealed she was pregnant with their third child in an email.
Before the birth of son, Apollo Bowie Flynn, in February (14), the music supercouple was already parents to Kingston, seven, and Zuma, five, so it came as a surprise to the Bush frontman that they were going to add another member to their family, especially when he thought they were done.
In an interview with U.S. shock jock Howard Stern on his radio show on Tuesday, (09Sep14), Rossdale reveals he found out the shocking news from his wife via email. He explained, "I got this email on the road, from Gwen, and the title was in capitals, 'LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO ME NOW.' I was like, 'What is this?' My blood pressure went through the roof. And I opened the email, and it was the pregnancy stick.'"
Rossdale even admitted he knew exactly when little Apollo was conceived, and added, "I wasn't home that often, but I did go home for Father's Day (Jun13), and that gives Father's Day a new meaning."
R&B veteran Johnny Gill has reportedly embarked on a new romance with actress and U.S. TV personality Sherri Shepherd. The New Edition star performed with his band on Shepherd's former daytime talk show The View in June (14) and they got along so well, they have started dating long distance, according to DailyMail.co.uk.
A source tells the website, "Sherri is a big New Edition fan and was excited to have them at the show. But she and Johnny really connected and exchanged personal contact information."
The Precious actress, who split from her second husband, Lamar Sally, in May (14), visited Gill on various dates on New Edition's summer (14) tour, and the insider adds, "She flew out to see him in Houston, Virginia Beach and Los Angeles. She enjoyed being out on the road and enjoyed getting to know him."
Shepherd is currently in the middle of a bitter divorce battle with Sally, her husband of three years. The former couple is also fighting over custody of a baby son, who was born via a surrogate in August (14). Shepherd has disavowed maternity, claiming her ex defrauded her when they signed the surrogate paperwork by planning to split from her all along and demand child support.
She also has a nine-year-old son, Jeffrey, from her first marriage to Jeff Tarpley.
Gill has never been married, but has a boy with an ex-girlfriend.

She is now touring the U.S. and Canada with Miley Cyrus, and is due to conclude her live shows with a U.K. trek which ends in London in December (14).
Allen has now revealed she is dreading her final show, as she is convinced she will fall ill as soon as she stops work, telling Britain's OK! magazine, "At the moment, I'm working so hard and moving so fast, I know when I stop I'll get ill."
However, the singer is adamant she will soon want to return to the road after spending time at home: "My dream is to be at home all the time, and when I am home, I want to be working."
Kings Of Leon drummer Nathan Followill has confirmed he'll be back behind the kit when his family band returns to the road on Wednesday (03Sep14), despite suffering after his stage comeback at the Made in America festival on Sunday night (31Aug14). The rockers were forced to scrap a series of gigs last month (Aug14) after Followill broke his ribs in a tour bus crash, but their Mechanical Bull tour is back on track following a performance at Jay Z's annual Labor Day holiday event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Assuring fans he was feeling OK on Tuesday (02Sep14), Followill tweeted, "Last day home before the tour kicks back off. Resting up & getting ready for my return to a full set. No pain, no gain."
After his band's Made in America performance, the drummer admitted he was feeling a little battered, tweeting, "Almost home & I can't cry myself 2 (sic) sleep fast enough. Thank heavens for 2 days off before the next show. Fractured ribs are no joke. I ache."
Kings of Leon will return to the road for a show in Virginia Beach, Virginia on Wednesday.
Country singer Josh Gracin is ready to return to the stage two weeks after worrying friends and fans by posting an apparent suicide note on Facebook.com. Police tracked Gracin down and he was admitted to an inpatient facility to seek help for his battle with depression, according to his manager.
He subsequently cancelled scheduled tour dates, but he is already planning to get back to work this weekend (30Aug14).
Gracin has taken to his Facebook page, writing, "Finally getting back out on the road!! I will be playing this Saturday at the Mercury Ballroom in Louisville KY (Kentucky)! Please get your tickets now! I would love to see you all there for my first show back."

Rocker Bret Michaels is preparing to bid farewell to two of his longtime bandmates when they perform together for the last time in Virginia on Thursday night (14Aug14). Dirty Ray and Lucky Chucky will bow out of the Poison frontman's solo tour line-up after a decade on the road with Michaels.
In a post on his website on Thursday afternoon, the singer writes, "Tonight’s show for me will be a very Bittersweet moment as two of my best friends and solo band members Bassist Dirty Ray and Drummer Lucky Chucky will exit as best of friends to pursue personal ventures and have helped to find their replacements Bad Boy Bart on Bass and The Manimal Magic Mike half man half beast on the drums.
"Ray and Chuck will be missed and are always considered my great friends. Thanks for over ten awesome years playing music, touring together and helping me continue to make music and living my dream. Rock on my brothers!
"I have chosen my home state of Pennsylvania to kick off the first show with (replacements) Bad Boy Bart and Manimal Magic Mike."
The two new band members will make their debut with Michaels in Reading, Pennsylvania on Friday (15Aug14).
Veteran British rockers Status Quo are set to hit the stage for the first time without longtime member Rick Parfitt to resume their European tour as the singer/guitarist recovers from heart surgery. The group had to cancel six shows earlier this month (Aug14) when Parfitt was hospitalised in Pula, Croatia.
He returned to the U.K., where he subsequently underwent an operation to have a stent inserted to correct a problem with a graft that had become furred since it was inserted during his quadruple heart bypass in 1997.
Parfitt, 65, was due to rejoin the group and head back out on the road this week (ends15Aug14), however, he has been left with no choice but to sit out the next gig in Clumber Park in Worksop, England on Friday (15Aug14) after doctors ordered him to rest.
Freddie Edwards, son of bassist John 'Rhino' Edwards, will fill in for Parfitt for the one-off show - the first time he has missed a gig with the band since he joined in 1967.
Parfitt says, "Obviously I'm really disappointed to be missing this show but I'm pleased that Freddie will be able to step up and help the band out whilst I'm recuperating.
"I know all the Quo fans will make him welcome and I'll be back onstage soon."
Quo co-founder Francis Rossi adds, "It will certainly be strange performing without Rick, but Freddie performed with me when I did my solo tour so I know that he's got what it takes - and, of course, he's part of the Quo family."
Parfitt is expected to be fighting fit in time for the band's next scheduled concert at Holkham Hall in Norfolk, England on 23 August (14).
