Actor Ansel Elgort has lined up one of his biggest gigs yet as a dance DJ by joining the bill for New York City's Pier of Fear event this weekend (01Nov14). The Fault in Our Stars actor recently revealed he has been secretly building up his resume as an electronic music producer for several years under the moniker Ansolo, and now he is preparing to perform alongside the likes of top DJs Nicky Romero, Dirty South and Don Diablo on Saturday (01Nov14), when he will help close out the two-night dance party at Pier 94 in Manhattan in front of nearly 10,000 revellers.
Eddie Dean, founder of event organisers RPM Presents and president of club hotspot Pacha New York, tells WENN, "The first time I heard him (Ansolo) at Pacha, I thought he was a talented DJ.
"It wasn't until the next day when my daughters asked why I didn't tell them he was playing, did I realise Ansel also acted! Had no idea he was an actor - just a good DJ!"

Rapper Nicky Da B has died, aged 24. The star, from New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away from a "brief illness" on Tuesday (02Sept14), but the exact cause of his death has yet to be revealed.
Nicky Da B's managers released a statement confirming his death, which reads: "It is with heaviness in our hearts today that we confirm the passing of Nicky Da B. Nicky was a beautiful soul and we will always be grateful for his magnetic personality and loving spirit.
"We were inspired by his talent as much as his tireless optimism, compassion and humility. Our condolences go out to his family at this time."
Nicky Da B, real name Nickesse Toney, was best known for his collaboration with music producer Diplo's 2012 modern dance hit Express Yourself.

New York's Electric Zoo festival has been cut short due to storms. Music fans were evacuated from the the Randall's Island event on Sunday (31Aug14) as extreme weather conditions threatened to cause havoc at the site.
Organisers have apologised to festival-goers, stating, "Ultimately our main concern is for the safety and security of all attendees, artists and staff."
Kaskade and Skrillex were all scheduled to headline the three-day event's final night when it was cancelled.
The second day of Jay Z's Made in America festival in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was also affected by severe weather conditions.
Fans were asked to leave the site and find cover in "protected areas" late on Sunday afternoon, and after about an hour, gates were re-opened around 7.30pm local time.
As a result of the storm delay, the acts scheduled to perform the rest of the night were pushed back an hour, with the likes of Pharrell Williams, Tiesto, and Kings of Leon set to close out the two-day festival.
Kings of Leon star Nathan Followill, who is making his stage comeback after a tour bus accident derailed the band's North American tour, took to Twitter.com to pray for better weather, writing, "Dear thunderstorm, please go away so I can play some rock and or roll. So much for it always being sunny in Philadelphia."
