Synopsis:
An adaptation of James Agee's 1957 autobiographical novel "A Death in the Family," a story of a family's fragility and resilience. Set in Knoxville, Tennessee, during the summer of 1915. On his way home from visiting his father one night, Jay Follet is suddenly killed in a car accident. After his wife Mary and 7-year-old son, Rufus, learn the devastating news, they must figure out how to deal with the reality of life without him.
