Synopsis:
A documentary that explores the roots of "Amazing Grace," a hymn that continues to serve as a source of inspiration and strength for many people. Dramatic re-enactments are used to tell the story of John Newton, the 18th Century English slave ship captain turned country preacher, who wrote the lyrics for the hymn. The documentary also includes interviews with people who sing "Amazing Grace" and talk about what it means to them.
