Synopsis:
An adaptation of Stella Tillyard's historical novel about the lives and loves of four British sisters -- Caroline, Emily, Louisa and Sarah Lennox. The sisters' lives take place against the backdrop of the French Revolution, the industrial revolution, the American war of independence and the Irish rebellion.
