Synopsis:
Behind-the-scenes examination of a year with the "Endeavor" crew of Space Shuttle Flight STS-72. Follows the astronauts through a year of preparation and intense training. Their assignment: to retrieve a Japanese satellite and bring it back to Earth as well as making several space walks to evaluate modifications in their space suits and to test tools for building an international space station. The documentary include the choosing of the astronaut team and their arduous training to their emotional farewells to family and the anxiety of the lift-off. After nine days and 3.7 million miles, the viewer is there as the "Endeavor" and its crew return safely to Earth.
