Synopsis:
Adaptation of Barbara Taylor Bradford's novel, "Her Own Rules." Meredith Sanders, a successful 30-something New York business woman, has always been unlucky in love. She has issues of abandonment since the age of four when her mother died. She was forced to live in an abusive orphanage where her only consolation was her friendship with Agnes. Meredith travels to Ireland to visit Agnes and comes upon a handsome man, architect Lucas Kent, painting a gate of an old manor house. Meredith decides to purchase the house and restore it to its original splendor. During renovations, Lucas invites her to stay at his estate. The two become intimte but Meredith continues to keep an emotional wall between them. Meredith decides to takes Agnes' advice and confront her demons by tracking down the death record of her mother. Her research leads to shocking revelations that answer her questions and free her heart.
