Synopsis:
The story of Frank Nolan, a three-star New York City Chief of Detectives is recounted in this television movie. "Brass" explores police work not just from the street-level, but from the point of view of the highest brass. Nolan is a long-time veteran of the New York City Police Department whose tough persona sometimes obscures the heart behind the brass. In spite of his high rank, Nolan has resisted becoming a bureaucrat, and has remained actively involved with police work.
