Synopsis:
Set in Brooklyn in 1938 on the eve of disturbing events in Germany. Sylvia and Phillip Gellburg have had a long-time but troubled marriage. Sylvia is suddenly and mysteriously stricken with paralysis. Her doctor cannot find an explanation. The possibility exists that the real reason for the paralysis is connected to her anguish over reports of terrible happenings in Germany.
