Synopsis:
A special which celebrates the career of 50s rock 'n' roller Buddy Holly, who was killed in a tragic plane crash in 1959. The program showcases many of Holly's contemporaries as well as some of today's hottest performers who have influenced by Holly's music. Also included is rare footage of Buddy Holly and the Crickets in concert and interviews with his family, including his wife Maria Elena and hiss mother.
