Synopsis:
When a scientist discovers an asteroid heading to Earth but can't get anyone to believe her, she recruits a former Air Force Major, kicked out for violating the "don't ask, don't tell" policy and the only one who can operate an experimental laser, in order to destroy the asteroid before it destroys earth.
