Synopsis:
Documentary that explores the culture, geology and adventure of Hawaii, the most-visited state in the United States. Viewers meet: Steve Lang, an artist who risks his life to create sculptures from 2000-degree molten lava; Kaleo Almadeo, a surfer training to ride the 50-foot wave called "Jaws," which comes once a year to Maui; Chuck Steidel, a professor who searches the heavens with the most powerful telescope in the world; and Art Medieres and Jack Peterson, two men battling against invasive plants and animals that threaten to overrun the Hawaiian Islands.
