Synopsis:
Felicity Merriman lives in Williamsburg, Virginia, in 1774, just before the Revolutionary War. Elizabeth, newly arrived from England, becomes Felicity's best friend. Their friendship is tested when Felicity's family believes in independence for the colonies while Elizabeth’s family believes in loyalty to the king. Meanwhile, Felicity tries to help a mare escape its abusive owner.
