Synopsis:
Reality series in which people transpose identities and willingly surrender their lives for a day to experience a completely different life. Participants are placed in any number of settings, from prisons to schools to hospitals. Real doctors, teachers, police officers and others are used to enhance the authenticity of each situation. As each episode unfolds, viewers meet the subject(s) who reveal how they feel about a variety of issues or situations. Next, the audience is taken behind the scenes to see just how a subject's reality has been altered. As the unscripted drama unfolds, viewers follow the subjects through their experiences and witness their reactions.

Scenarios include: two teenagers -- one black and one white -- who see what it's like to live in each other's world; a police officer and a gang member exchange roles; a mother trades places with her 16-year-old daughter; a young couple having communications problems switch roles for a day; a homophobic teen is shocked and horrified when a newfound friend is killed in a gay-bashing incident; an elistist girl, who openly discriminates against overweight people, is transformed into a 200-pound woman; two notorious high-school bullies are transformed into the very kids they make fun of and are taken to a new high school to endure a day of teasing and bullying.

In other episodes: teen subjects face the consequences of practicing unsafe sex, as one teen male wakes up to find himself the parent of an infant, while a teen female finds that she has suddenly tested positive for HIV; a group of suburban teenagers experimenting with heroin spend a day living out the possible consequences of their actions, from homeless shelters and hospitals to jail cells and overdoses.
