Synopsis:

A drama series set in a suburban high school, circa 1980, that focuses on two teenage siblings. Sam is an awkward freshman who has to cope with an obsessive bully and his unrequited love for an unattainable cheerleader. Lindsay is torn between fulfilling her scholarly potential and her newfound desire to become a cool social dropout. Orbiting around them is a tribe of underachievers, including Neal, a small but hyper geek; Bill, a tall geek whose brain seems to engage at a more leisurely pace; Daniel, a friendly but dangerous freak who has taken a liking to Lindsay; Nick, a tall freak who dreams of stardom as a rock and roll drummer; and Ken, a rebellious freak.
