Synopsis:
A two-part presentation on "Masterpiece Theatre" depicting the efforts of Dr. Frederick Banting to discover insulin in the early 20th Century. The true story of Banting's discovery is told in counterpoint to that of Elizabeth Hughes, a young diabetes victim.
