Synopsis:
Television movie based on the 1925 Scopes "monkey trial." Schoolmaster Bertram Cates is put on trial for teaching Charles Darwin's Theory of Evolution to students in rural Tennessee. Prosecuting Cates is three-time presidential nominee, self-appointed Bible scholar and acclaimed orator Matthew Harrison Brady. Defending Cates is Henry Drummond, America's most celebrated defense attorney.
