Synopsis:

The venerable New York City theater is the site of a variety series featuring popular entertainers, highlights from Amateur Night competitions and tributes to past Apollo performers. The series' producers and the Apollo Theater parted ways in 2002, resulting in various venue and title changes (`Showtime in Harlem,' `Showtime,' `Live in Hollywood'), though the format remains the same.
